This Holi when the entire Yadav clan gathered, then ‘Netaji’ (Mulayam Singh Yadav) took up the mediation spot between Akhilesh and Shivpal. Father Mulayam very softly proposed to his son Akhilesh that why not send-off Shivpal to Delhi in the Rajya Sabha this time, this way he will be their ‘Point Man’ in Delhi and will also coordinate with the other parties. The father wanted that UP politics for the son should be slightly thorn-free, at least the prevailing resistance within the family is tuned-down. Shivpal was also in favour of these terms, but Akhilesh did not agree. Instead, he said to his father, “I know why people are trying to do this. You want to take Delhi away from uncle Ramgopal.” On hearing this, Mulayam’s heart broke and so did his dialogue flow. Mulayam said, “You are more concerned about your uncle Ramgopal than me. I throned you as the CM but your preference lies with him?” With this ‘Netaji’ has silenced himself in the midst of the uncomfortable sprawling relationship which may continue with further tensions in the family.

Dattatreya Hosbole is busy these days in improving the harmony between the Sangh and the BJP, but the only setback in his attempts is that the person with whom he is in most terms is Narendra Modi himself. Hosbole has always argued in the favor of Modi and always advocates to give him freehand.
Now, the fate of the bridge-man between Sangh and BJP, Ramlal, is going to be decided soon. To fill Ramlal’s vacancy, Hosbole proposes Sunil Ambekar, a young face who is the national organisation secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad on behalf of the Sangh.
But the Sangh considers this BJP youth front as yet another imposing organisation, about which the RSS has the impression that the Yuva Morcha is just a decorative organisation, and at the grassroots it has no special effect. ABVP does the most work among students and youth.
As a solution to this, a suggestion came from BJP’s side that why not then merge the Yuva Morcha and ABVP? The RSS does not endorse this opinion, too. The Sangh thinks that both fronts should individually perform their respective duties.

March 1 was the birthday of Nitish Kumar. A lot of birthday wishes were tweeted on his profile. On behalf of BJP, many big leaders including Modi and Jaitley tweeted their greetings for him. Various chief ministers of BJP-ruled states, such as Fadnavis, Raje and Sonowal, also tweeted the birthday greetings to Nitish. But no congratulatory message from key friend Mamata reached the birthday boy.
As a coincidence, March 1 also marked the birthdays of DMK leader Stalin and former West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. Though Mamta did tweet some birthday greetings, but those were for Buddhadeb and Stalin and not Nitish. Rahul Gandhi also tweeted birthday wishes for Stalin, but he also gave Nitish a miss.

The NDA alliance has started falling apart. TDP may not have left the NDA but has definitely parted from its government. Shiv Sena too seems to be speaking the words of the Opposition, both inside and outside of the Parliament.
The freshest of the rebels is Chirag Paswan, son of Ramvilas Paswan, who has already started preparing for the 2019 elections. Chirag feels that the BJP intends to leave very few seats for the Janashakti Party, and thus has changed his attitude towards the party.
Om Prakash in UP is all set to part from the NDA, while in Bihar, Upendra Kushwaha has also changed his stance. Sources reveal that Kushwaha has had talks with RJD chief Lalu who has agreed to leave 40 seats in the assembly for Kushwaha.
What Shah has in his court to save NDA from this disintegrate, will only be revealed once he’s out of the celebration phase in Tripura.

Many SP veterans may turn to the BJP’s side in recent times. The anger of not being included in the Rajya Sabha nomination is now visible from the face of Naresh Agrawal. Sources reveal that he has had a detailed lengthy conversation with Nripendra Mishra in recent past and his path to BJP has been paved.

The mood of the nation is changing, its holy land has caught the sight of the devil once again. The temple-mosque issue is getting hot again, whose sparks can instigate a political momentum. Under such circumstances, it is becoming a difficult quest for Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad to protect a ‘Naag Devata’ (God of snakes). For some last 25 years, Ghulam Nabi has been living on 3, Safdarjung Lane in the Lutyens Zone of New Delhi. There is an ages old tree in his garden which is believed to reside a ‘Manidhaari Naag’ (snake with a precious gem on its head). So one fine night, people saw a bright light coming out of the tree and hence the devotees were quick enough to gather round with the milk bowls in their hands to feed it. The crowd thickened and so did the discussions around the precious snake-God. Ghulam Nabi was unable to prevent the people from coming to the tree, because it had associated religious beliefs. So later on he had to ask his gardener to put flowers in the circular shape around the tree so that no devotee can reach the deity and the precious snake remains safe.

BJP’s spectacular hi-tech headquarter on the Deen Dayal road of New Delhi is now operational but the BJP-beat focused journalists are all zipped up since their entry has been restricted to the ground floor. In other words, the BJP has shown the ground to the journalists, restricting their entry beyond the ground level. To reach out to the upper-floor seated party’s office bearers, an entry pass is required. In fact even if you want to meet the party’s general secretaries, the pass is a must. In short – Where to fetch the news and off-the-record briefings from? The only person available is the party’s media in-charge Anil Baluni, whom you can easily meet, but who wants to meet him when the news source is seated upstairs?

After a bitter defeat in the recent by-elections held in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj’s reign is all cry for help. While on the one hand the main Opposition party in the state – Congress – is busy preparing to encroach on the Shivraj throne, the saffron reign’s very own are in no mood to spare him. There are continuous rounds of serious discussions and calculations over Shivraj’s future in the BJP. According to information gathered from the sources linked to the RSS, the Sangh has conducted a state-wide opinion poll from an agency, and the results of this survey have raised the concerns of the Sangh. This survey states that if elections are held in Madhya Pradesh right now, then BJP’s presence might be even lesser that 100 in the 230-members assembly. In the last election, 165 out of 230 seats in the state fell into the BJP’s court. Now elections in the state may be held in November-December and in view of this, Sangh has identified such 73 outgoing BJP MLAs for whom there is a lot of anger in the public with regard to their work. Sangh is now of the opinion to cut-off the tickets of these 73 legislators and introduce new faces in their place. It is believed that this damage control plan of the Sangh has been green-signalled by BJP’s top leadership. Now Shivraj’s dilemma swings around the fact that the majority of these 73 MLAs are his close aides, but obviously it is better to zip it than lose his own ticket. Silence in politics is not only a weapon but an armor, too, and who can know this better than Shivraj?

The heat of electoral results has forced Shivraj to change the his political game. Anyway, for the past several months, Shivraj was busy trying to get out of his pro-farmer image. Instead now he’s busy with his pro-women agenda these days. Compared to men, the sex ratio of women in the state is around 49 per cent. The history is evident that the women’s votes also fall in the same bulk, which plays an important role in the fall or the formation of any government. So, knowing that women are of religious propensity, Shivraj has been of late scripting a lot of ‘dharam-karam’ in his speeches. Earlier too Shivraj used to participate in religious rituals, but these days he seems to have wrapped a Rama-cape around him. In his defence to the sudden beyond farmer approach can be that ever since the central government has implemented the Pradhamnatri Fasal Bima Yojana, the issue of crop compensation and loan waiver to farmers is no more under the umbrella of the state government and now directly lies with the Center. Anyhow the Shivraj government owes the farmers some Rs 2600 crore. The state government’s treasury is empty for the farmers. Apex Bank does not have money. Talking about only the year 2016, this year almost 18 lakh farmers were insured under the scheme but, tragic enough, the farmers couldn’t even retain the invested amount let alone the crop compensation. Now the anger of the farmers has boiled right up on Shivraj, and so he has gone to the refuge of women. Perhaps he has forgotten that there is a considerable number of women voters in the farming families, too.

For the past 5 months, Shivraj Singh Chauhan is going through a lot of tension. Sources say that due to stress, he has also caught onto diabetes. In the cabinet meetings of Tuesday, many voices of dissatisfaction have also started emerging. Anyhow, ever since Anandiben Patel has taken over the responsibility of the governor of the state, the sources say that she has summoned various departments’ secretaries and is personally reviewing their presentations. The Vyaapam scam too has yet not fully furnished to the cold beds. Sources also claim that many political ambitions have been eased in the flame of Vyaapam. Uma Bharti’s declaration of not contesting the next election is also a hint in this direction. God bless the heavyweight Union minister whose close judge-relative has given a clean chit to Shivraj in this case. This Union minister’s eye is on the PM’s post for 2019 and now, Shivraj could also have to support him.
