BJP’s rookie mistake

Posted on 26 March 2018 by admin

Ever since AAP’s Sanjay Singh has set-foot in the Upper House, he is giving the ruling party a hard time with all his hyperactivity. When asked which parliamentary committee would he prefer being a part of as an MP, Singh put forth his three choices. His first priority was the Urban Development Ministry, the second being Home Ministry and the third was the Ministry of Mines and Steels.
The BJP policymakers thought that sealing-drive issue is at its peak in Delhi, so Sanjay Singh will be busy dealing with the state government on the issue. Thus, at the behest of Venkaiah Naidu, he was sent to the mining ministry.
Now the BJP was unaware that Sanjay Singh was a mining engineer. Now this AAP MP is busy preparing all the possible cross-questions related to mining rules to which the saffron-torch bearers will have to find the answers.
In the latest, Sanjay has pulled out the expansion plan of public sector giant ‘Sail’. It is believed that of the allocated amount of Rs 78 thousand crores, Rs 74 thousand crores has already been disbursed, but its production has registered a

Prasad’s controversial politics

Posted on 26 March 2018 by admin

The IT and Law Minister of the Modi government, Ravi Shankar Prasad, often is on the target of the Opposition due to his derogatory statements. Whilst gradually being grilled in the flame of the Mehul Choksi episode, the case of the Facebook data breach by British data analysis company Cambridge Analytica was brought into the light. In the same case, Prasad’s yet another derogatory statement made headlines when he said that he would take the strictest of actions against those who violated the rules under the IT Act and also, if need be, summon Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
On this, the Opposition found a new way to target Prasad. Amateur politician Tejaswi Yadav took to Twitter and attacked Prasad by tweeting: “Stop all these ‘nautankies’ (drama) and first find a solution to the ‘call-drop’ crisis of India.”
And even when the government issued a mere six-questions notice to Cambridge Analytica (whom Prasad referred to as ‘rogue’), there was no big question related to Mark Zuckerberg. Also, the company has been given time till March 31 to answer these questions. Then, when the Opposition pointed fingers on these questions, the justification was given by Prasad’s ministry that since Mark Zuckerberg has already apologised, it is not right to unnecessarily heave the issue further.

All is not well

Posted on 26 March 2018 by admin

All is not well with AAP. There was a time when AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh used to hold meetings till late night, watch movies together. But after the Rajya Sabha elections, Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh seem upset with Kejriwal. Now the meetings put on halt and the conversations are also on mute. Sanjay is devoting most of his time to Rajya Sabha works, and Ashutosh has resumed with his readings and writings. Both the leaders have one common complaint with Kejriwal that “Kejriwal talks of moral politics but when it comes to Rajya Sabha, he gives importance to some Sushil Gupta. What kind of a paradox is this?”

Jaya Bachchan’s stardom attracts all

Posted on 26 March 2018 by admin

In the recent Rajya Sabha elections, where many political veterans like Rajiv Shukla and Ram Madhav were deprived of the Upper House, Jaya Bachchan’s stardom remained on the top of its game. Mamata Banerjee’s TMC had kept its fourth seat vacant for Jaya until the last moment. While Mamata wanted to play Jaya’s Bengali-charm card, on the other hand, SP did not want to lose their crucial MP. Prior to the final announcement of the tickets, ‘Didi’ talked to both Mulayam and Akhilesh to have confirmation on whether they are giving the seat to Jaya Bachchan? Only after receiving the concrete assurance from both father and son, Didi concluded the climax over the party’s fourth seat.

The ticket politics of BJP

Posted on 19 March 2018 by admin

For the first time in the history of BJP, it so happened that for the Lok Sabha by polls and Rajya Sabha tickets neither the meeting of the Parliamentary Board was convened nor was there a need felt to convene the meeting of the election committee, not even for name sake. For UP’s by-elections, both the names were finalised by the Party President and Sunil Bansal. The name of Pradeep Singh for the Araria constituency in Bihar faced the major opposition from the Araria BJP unit itself. The Araria seat went for polls after the demise of the RJD MP Taslimuddin. Sources say that Pradip Singh once used to speak in favour of the same Taslimuddin and was among his close aides. State deputy chief minister Sushil Modi had a special interest and the most important role in awarding ticket to Pradeep Singh. As of the Rajya Sabha tickets, the Modi-Shah duo finalised it all on their own.

Sonia’s gift to Rajni

Posted on 19 March 2018 by admin

Congress Rajya Sabha MP Rajni Patil was jamming in the Central Hall when she was informed that Sonia Gandhi wanted to see her. Rajni felt as if it was her lottery to the Rajya Sabha. She quickly rushed to Sonia’s office in the Parliament. She was in such a hurry that she even left behind her purse in the Central Hall itself.
When Rajni entered Sonia’s office, Sonia was about to leave for her home. Seeing Rajni, Sonia said, “Let’s go home. We can talk on the way, and have tea at home.”
Rajni then hopped into Sonia’s car and reached 10 Janpath. The discussions on the way were nothing major but just general political issues. When Rajni was preparing to take a leave after the tea, Sonia asked, “Where will you go from here?” Rajni told that she would first head to the Parliament House, since she left her purse in the Central Hall due to all the haste. From there, she will take a Parliamentary bus to go to the house, which costs only Rs 20/-. Sonia found it very nice that even today there are MPs who keep it simple.
Then Sonia put her hand in her purse where only Rs 120/- were present. She handed that amount to Rajni and Rajni kept it securely with her as a prised possession.

Saffron invite to Shukla

Posted on 19 March 2018 by admin

Rajeev Shukla was busy chit-chatting with some of his friends in the Central Hall that suddenly BJP President Amit Shah appeared beside him. Seeing Shah coming to him, a surprised Shukla immediately stood up and greeted him.
Shah then said to Shukla, “You are leisurely sitting here, don’t you have to leave for Gujarat?”
By then, Shukla was not aware at all of the fact that the party may send him to Gujarat at the very last moment, right before the closing of the nomination, because the Congress candidature for Gujarat was still not clear on papers. But the party had yet not informed him about him being considered a substitute candidate.
Shah quipped with Shukla: “Tell us if I should arrange a chartered plane for you on my behalf.” Shukla thought that the party president was in a funny mood, but later it turned out to be true and the subsequent developments are known to all that due to the constructions work, the Ahmedabad airport was closed till 7 pm, when Shukla’s Delhi-Ahmedabad flight was scheduled to land there.
Sources reveal that Shukla actually sought a ticket from Bihar, but BJP was in favour of ally JDU’s Meira Kumar, while the Bihar Congress sought a local candidate. That is why Shukla’s name was struck down from Bihar.
It is now being heard that Arun Jaitley, an integral friend of Shukla, has suggested him to join BJP. Everyone knows about Shukla that he is a master of politics, who can sense the changing colors of the politics and also identify the double faces.

Kejriwal’s homecoming

Posted on 19 March 2018 by admin

Arvind Kejriwal’s stars are seemingly diminishing. Even after so much effort, the pain of being the chief minister of only half the state is something that is eating him alive. Apology by Majithia has become a big political issue. A rebellion has sparked from within the party.
So, while telling of his anguish to the close aides, Kejriwal has expressed his desire that now he wants to become the Chief Minister of Haryana. Haryana is not only his home state, but there are also a considerable number of native voters.
On March 25, Kejriwal is going to stage a big rally in Haryana. In order to make this rally a huge success, Haryana AAP chief Naveen Jai Hind and recently appointed Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Gupta are leaving no stone unturned. To gather more and more people for the rally, the party workers are handing out invites in form of auspicious yellow rice. The original proclamation of the rally too is: “The homecoming of son.”
