The style of Rahul Gandhi’s politics is also quite unique. For the last few weeks, when the party is going through turmoil, he is contemplating on international issues. However, at times he has posted a tweet or statement about the farmer movement too, but his real interest seems elsewhere. Kaushal Kishore Vidyarthi, who worked for Rahul at the Gymkhana Club in New Delhi, organized a tea party a fortnight ago and a large number of foreign diplomats were invited to this tea party. Needless to say that a large number of diplomats came to meet and talk to Rahul and the most surprising thing is that Rahul himself was present in that tea party for more than two hours. The invited diplomats were deeply impressed that Rahul keeps a close watch on international developments and his vision of India’s foreign policy is very clear. But they were concerned that when so much is going on in the country, then should he have had two hour-long tea session?

In the 125-year-old Congress, the bubble of dissatisfaction has burst, so much so, that the Gandhi family is shocked. Such is the situation that Rahul’s leadership is being challenged. The Congress party meeting called on Saturday was initiated at the behest of Priyanka Gandhi who was the chief architect of the meet. This ‘initiation’ was supported by Kamal Nath who talked to the disgruntled leaders himself and also shared details about the same with Priyanka. This entire undertaking of the Gandhi family was also for the matter that in the election of the national president of the party, the matter should not reach till poll level so that Rahul could not be challenged from anywhere and he should be elected unopposed. On the other hand, there is Rahul Gandhi who is constantly sending signals to the party that he does not want to become the President. Then there is a big section that is questioning as to how long will the situation continue and at least now the election should be conducted. The 10 Janpath loyalists have a grudge against some of their own leaders that they are playing in the hands of the BJP and are giving information about what is going on inside the Congress to the BJP. If sources are to be believed, leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad also fall under this ambit of doubt. This strengthens the information system of the BJP and further sharpens the edge of their attack on the Congress’s Gandhi family.

Till some time back, there were indications that the long-awaited expansion of the Modi cabinet could take place on 8 or 9 December, but when the farmer agitation gained momentum in Delhi, this program of the extension was postponed. If sources are to be believed, now that ‘Kharmas’ has started and the auspicious days will now start after January 14, only then will this scheme of cabinet expansion be able to take off. The budget session of Parliament is going to start from 31 January which will run till April. In the generally accepted traditions, the cabinet reshuffle or expansion does not take place when the House is in session, so it is possible only between January 14 and January 30 or maybe expected in May after the end of the budget session. The government will also complete two years in May. In the probable are people like Jyotiraditya Scindia who have been in the queue to become ministers since March. Moreover, two or three ministers may be discharged from Bihar while the luck of Sushil Modi and Sanjay Jaiswal may shine. A big surprise could come in the face of Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi from UP since he is a well-read individual who can think and as a Brahmin face from UP< he could get Sangh's support also. Although this time, two Brahmin faces - Seema Dwivedi and Haridwar Dubey - have got a place in Rajya Sabha from UP, Dr. Trivedi is a much more heavyweight name than them. In view of the ongoing farmer movement, some leaders from Haryana can also it 'lottery' and given a berth. Manoj Tiwari, Pravesh Verma, or Meenakshi Lekhi could be the names from Delhi while the names of Roopa Ganguly, Dilip Ghosh, and Lockett Chatterjee are doing the rounds from Bengal. Bhupendra Yadav, Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Ram Madhav, Anil Jain's name has been going on since long. If the YSR Congress joins the NDA, they can also be represented in the Modi cabinet. Moreover, JDU ministers can also join the government.

If the BJP loses Bihar election, it can have a direct impact on the West Bengal elections too because in the last election, the BJP had won seats in the areas of West Bengal which are close to Bihar. Gorkha Janmukti Morcha has already left the BJP with a demand for the formation of separate Gorkhaland, making it difficult for the BJP to win seats in Darjeeling. And if BJP faces defeat in Bihar and West Bengal, it would have a direct adverse impact on UP elections in 2022.

He may be making all efforts for the campaigning of his loyal candidates in Madhya Pradesh assembly bypolls, but Jytoraditya Scindia is somewhere feeling a little disappointed by finding not that prominent place in posters and banners as compared to the importance which he used to get when he was in Congress party.

Popularly known as Maharaj, Scindia used to enjoy good importance in posters and banners where his picture used to be equal to that of Rahul Gandhi. Even the picture size of senior leaders like Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh used to be less than Scindia’s picture but the case is not the same now when he is in BJP.

In BJP’s posters and banners, he is one among several leaders whose pictures of equal size are there. Even in some posters, his face is missing. Only Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and Shivraj Singh are prominently displayed in BJP posters.

However, some of his loyal candidates in the Gwalior division give him importance but the party’s state unit is not much bothered about this.

Sources said that Congress is giving a tough fight to BJP in the bypolls but Shivraj needs mere nine seats to save his government and BJP will easily get this number.

It is believed that Scindia still has a good repo with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and his main problem is Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh. Since the game of politics has unforeseen opportunities, what happens next is not known to anyone. 

It appears as if BJP’s enchanting star Yogi Adityanath’s uninterrupted saffron journey has marred by a bad omen. There was a time when he was counted among the most powerful Chief Ministers of BJP, and even after all the news of ‘fall-out’ with party’s ‘number two’, there was no break on his ‘free flight’, as he was believed to have special blessings from the PM and the Sangh. Time passed and Yogi’s administrative confusion increased, now the situation has reached the point that his number two is on his throne. Nearly two weeks back, Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya had himself tweeted about him being corona positive and then the news came that he was in Quarantine but in Delhi. Sources were also quoted as saying that he is doing political lobbying for himself while living in Delhi. According to sources, during this period, apart from some prominent leaders of BJP, he also met Sangh’s number two Dattatreya Hosabole and Krishna Gopal. Maurya has been trying to establish himself as a replacement for Yogi, and since the Hathras case, as the speculations have spread wings that Yogi may be discharged, Maurya has become increasingly active. It is said that ever since this news has come to Yogi, he has also made his intentions clear that Maurya will have to step down from the post of Deputy CM. In the message sent to the Sangh, it is said that they have made it clear that ‘if there is a danger of resentment of OBC votes by removing Maurya, then he is ready to replace Keshav with Swami Prasad Maurya as Deputy CM’. This means that the bigul of the war has been blown and Yogi has to show political maneuvering by controlling his feelings.

The ruling party is afraid that the fire from Hathras and Balrampur may spoil the saffron hopes in the Bihar elections, so the BJP’s central leadership has begun to curb the unbridled desires of its siphalsar, ie Yogi. Recently, when Yogi reshuffled his cabinet, many of Shah’s close men were either given less important portfolios or were shown the way out. Shrikant Sharma, who is considered to be very close to Shah, would have also been given a new ministry but it was stalled at the last moment. The events of Hathras and Balrampur had also put tension lines on PM that the incidents do not make a social agitation like Rohit Vemula’s death, so the language and actions of all the news channels changed. It is heard that Keshav Prasad Maurya is preparing himself as the new CM of the state, the work of construction of Ram temple has started in Ayodhya, i.e., Yogi has already discharged one of his important responsibilities.

A prominent Union minister has been asked to take care of Kangana Ranaut because the dates of Bihar elections have been announced and in such a situation, as much as Kangana will speak about the issue of nepotism and drug use in the industry, including Sushant Singh Rajput, the more will BJP benefit. But for the past some time, after Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death, there has been a war between the central government and the cinema workers advocating liberal cinema and after the new appearance of Kangana Ranaut, the Hindi film industry is clearly divided in two camps over which the Sangh has expressed its concern. If sources are to be believed, a prominent RSS leader Krishna Gopal has spoken to PM Modi on this issue. The Sangh clearly believes that as Hindi grows and expands, the Sangh and BJP will also expand. The Sangh says that films are also made in Hindi with superstars of South, Bangla, Marathi, and other regional language cinema working in these Hindi movies, and with the release of such films, Hindi prevails over regionalism and provincialism and if the Hindi film industry is made weak then provincialism will raise its head. It is understood that the manner in which the NCB and other investigative agencies have expanded their investigation to big stars, there is a restlessness in the industry that the artists who have put their views aside from the government’s perspective, they are being targeted. The Sangh is engaged in an initiative to deny this prevalent concept.

Due to the sudden ban on onion exports, farmers growing onion are said to be angry with the central government. At first, they were troubled by Corona, as the seeds were not available while there were no workers too. They had to sell their products at very low prices. When exporters started buying onions from them, they started getting good prices. But when the prices of onion suddenly started increasing in the market, the government stopped the export of onion with immediate effect. Thousands of tonnes of onions worth more than 30 crores is stuck at Mumbai Port alone, while thousands of trucks carrying onions on the Indo-Bangladesh border are stuck. About 30 percent of the onions loaded in trucks have started rotting. In this situation, Pakistani onion-producing farmers are having the most benefit out of the situation!
