Ram Jethmalani and Baba Ramdev are extremely annoyed with Modi, his ministers and Modi’s so called ‘hanuman’ BJP President Amit Shah on the issue of Black money. Senior lawyer Jethmalani seems to have a special ‘plan’ to bring back black money from Swiss banks. Sources say that Jethmalani was keen to share these ideas with the government. And PMO sources tell that Jethmalani has seeked appointment with Modi at least six times, but the invite from Modi is still awaited.

Once considered closest to Mamata, Trinamool MP Mukul Roy is now didi’s target. The recent public comments made by Mukul’s MLA son Subhranshu against Mamata and TMC has been taken very seriously by Trinamool supremo. Retorting to this, didi has got all her stuff, including ‘Treadmill’ shifted from Mukul’s Delhi flat to her nephew Abhishek’s place. This is a sign of their trouble. Mamata is doubtful that Mukul is growing quite close to Arun Jaitley’s aid Siddhartha Nath Singh, However when would Roy join BJP, will only depend on Modi-Shah strategy. If Roy does not get a formal invitation from BJP soon, then he may form a regional party in Bengal.

New Delhi based Indian Institute of Mass Communication is celebrating its golden jubilee this year, though in recent times the dignity of the institute has suffered a setback, which is certainly a matter of concern. The ex- news anchor of Doordarshan , Sumeet Tandon is the current chief. It is told that Tandon got this appointment without meeting the eligibility criteria due to his closeness to Congress led UPA leaders. Tandon also shares good rapport with bureaucrats. He is seen obliging the directorial authorities as well. Sources tell that most of the official vehicles are being used in the service of wives of bureaucrats. Sources tell that one vehicle of the institute is dedicated to the wife of information and broadcasting Secretary Bimal Julka. It is said that Tandon keeps showering expensive gifts on these bureaucrats from time to time so that despite the opposition in the institute, his chair remains intact.

This was the first occasion when joint session of Karnataka Assembly was addressed completely addressed in Hindi by Governor, Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala. During the thanksgiving to the governor, only S.R.Patil, leader of the house and leader of the ruling party, BJP’s Eshwarappa spoke in Kannada. When saffron party’s Lehar Singh Siroya began his address in Hindi, there was chaos all over the assembly. Despite this chaos, Lehar Singh continued speaking in Hindi till speaker reminded him that since there is no steno to type in Hindi nor there was translator, his speech will not go into records. Therefore, he should speak in kannada or English. Lehar Singh adhered to what was told. There’s one thing to be noted here, that so far party has not made his suspension from the party null, when he is a known for this pro-Modi stance. Whether, Advani’s hegemony is still intact in the party, where Modi-Shah is using Lehar but not ready to accept him in party folds.

After Delhi’s humiliating defeat, a strong message has reached Mumbai club. This was a big jolt for those industrialists, who had assumed that Modi will remain unbeaten. They were well reassured that no one can dare stop Modi’s ‘Ashwamedha ‘Horse. Very often qualms are answered in politics and no sooner the fog of misgivings too retracts. Now people feel that Modi has remained more of a foreign minister than the Prime Minister. And that’s how he has to suffer these jolts at home front. Otherwise, Modi who was trying to project himself better than Nehru in foreign policy matters has forgotten that when P.V. Narsimha Rao too went to address House of Representatives tackled the issue of American-Pakistan rhetoric on Kashmir sternly and reminded them on Mexico. Rao had then narrated a story about Gandhi, when a woman had brought her young son to Gandhi and said that her son was addicted to sugar and help him get rid of this addiction. Gandhi asked the woman to return and come back after 15 days, when she returned after 15 days, her son stopped eating sugar after Gandhi told him to do so. Woman asked Gandhi that he could have said the same thing 15 days back. Gandhi replied that he too was eating sugar then. Will Modi stop eating sugar ever?

The footfall of ‘Acche Din’ (good days) is finally being heard in the midst of the murmurs of politics. As the saying goes, ‘Chugne wale upar hi upar sari garmi chug baithe, humne jalayi this aag par mutthi aayee raakh’. When Jet Airways London-Delhi flight landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport on 11th February, BJP’s general secretary and Sangh’s star pracharak, Ram Madhav too travelled as a passenger in first class of the flight. The fellow passengers in the first class were extremely impressed by ‘down to earth’ simplicity of the senior saffron leader. His travel from New York to Sidney, Milan to London and then back to Delhi must be quite tiresome; however Ram Madhav appeared bright and spirited. Because it was his effort that has helped set up BJP-PDP alliance to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir. And, now BJP general secretary was to fly from Delhi to Srinagar. Whether, it is 5 lakh worth air travel or 10 lakh worth suit, at least good days seem to have come for those in governance party.

Rahul, a darling son of his mother, is hell bent to see Sheila and Sandip Dixit resign from the party. Nevertheless, Sonia is not keen to give much ear to this matter. But Sonia loyalist obviously are asking for action against those who bought Congress at zero in Delhi, which includes Rahul, Ajay Maken, PC Chako, Madhusudan Mistry and Mohan Prakash. Mohan Prakash alone has caused 5 defeats for Congress. However, Rahul is mulish that no one from his team should be disturbed. Rahul wants full rights from his mother. While Sonia is telling him that, ‘you are distributing the tickets and you are making chief whip as well, my people are left with no work, they are only collecting money and resources for the party’. The mother finally surrenders for the sake of love of her son. If everything goes according to plan, Rahul should take over the mantle of the party by this September. And, Sonia will take the role of custodian of the party. Rahul aims to give a new face to the party before Congress’s hand turns into a clasp.

Big defeat of Modi in small region of Delhi has prompted transformation of political equations in Delhi. After that shocking Delhi debacle, PM Modi discussed the results of Delhi election with some of his close colleagues. Leaders such as Rajnath singh, Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari and Venkaiah Naidu were part of this meet. During the meeting, Modi asked one of his special colleagues that when he asked about the situation on 9th February, they were sure of 24 seats. He further told him that he had ensured that no one else knows Delhi better than him and that the vote share compared to Lok Sabha election too has come down by 14% i.e. From 47% to 33%, how far he considers this correct political estimate? Obviously, this close friend had no words to answer.

Sangh is not able to digest BJP’s mortifying defeat in Delhi, in fact introspection sessions are being held on daily basis. Recently Sangh’s seniors including Mohan Bhagwat, Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi, Dattatreya Hosabale, Krishna Gopal and Suresh Soni took a class of vociferous BJP’s trio Smriti Irani, Nirmala Sitharaman and Ravi Shankar Prasad. Recall, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Sitharaman had called Kejriwal a ‘chor’ during their campaigns and Smriti Irani has made him a monkey lookalike in her campaign. In the excitement, Irani went ahead calling AAP leader an anti-national in her speech. During Delhi elections, Smriti held 16 election meetings, while Venkaiah Naidu, Piyush Goyal and Dharmendra Pradhan 17, Prakash Javadekar 11 and Nirmala Sitharaman addressed 8 meetings. Though, it need not be told here, that there was scarce crowd in their meetings.

Italian Ambassador in India, Daniel Mancini was taken by surprise when he got an invite from 10 Janpath recently. During his last four years tenure in India, he had made considerable attempts to meet Sonia Gandhi, just to be told that he should rather speak to external minister. Mancini is due for his farewell on February 10th and he is going to his new appointment as High Commissioner of Holy See, Vatican. It is considered a prestigious appointment for those who have served in foreign services. Obviously, he was given grand welcome at 10 Janpath and sources reveal that Sonia was heard requesting him that next time whenever she is in Italy, she would like to visit and take blessings from Pope. Daniel gave his affirmation and assured her all arrangements will be made in this regard. Sonia is said to have confided in outgoing Ambassador to keep her visit secret, else BJP might create hue and cry over this. After meeting Sonia, Daniel has very well understood the reasons for not being allowed time to meet Sonia during his four-year tenure. The meeting between Ambassador and Sonia of Italian origin could have been politicized under the ongoing controversy over Italian marines.
