Maratha satrap Sharad Pawar is a disturbed man these days. He feels that had his party made some more hard effort, or if he had toured the state more extensively, or had Sonia or Rahul stepped into Maharashtra, the state municipal polls could have seen a different result. He is also ruing the moment when poll talks between his NCP and the Congress broke down. And he squarely blames Prithviraj Chauhan for this. He is clear that it is Chauhan’s back stabbing for which the Congress-NCP dialogue failed, because Chauhan was demanding many of those seats where the NCP was sure to win. When Pawar did not grant those, the budding alliance was shattered.

The Dravid Munnetra Kazhagan (DMK) leaders were peeved with Rahul Gandhi because he visited the ailing Jayalalitha, the DMK’s sworn enemy, at the hospital but did not so much as peep into Congress’ UPA partner DMK’s office. Rahul explained to them that all his visits are hush hush and decided at the last moment. This is because wherever he goes after the note ban, Modi supporters mock him. Why, they even started chanting “Modi… Modi, when he visited the bank to share his sympathies with the suffering common man. Not just that, they took his crestfallen photos and promptly uploaded them on social media networks. That is why he has to take extra caution about his visits. Apparently, this excuse has seen to it that the DMK is placated.

The youth leader of Congress Party Jyotiraditya Scindia had been on a travelling spree in Madhya Pradesh to blow his party’s trumpet since the last fifteen days. His programmes were held at Murraina, Bhind, Chhatarpur, Gwalior and other places. During a programme at Khajuraho, where the party workers from Banda, close to Khajuraho, were also present, Sindhia asked regarding UP election. He asked the crowd present there: “How do you feel about UP elections, who do you think will win? The answer was disappointing for him when they said, “If Priyanka didi comes, the scenario will change overnight.” Scindia then murmured frustratedly: “You cannot think of anything beyond the Gandhi family.”
It is said that one of the close relatives to Janardan Dwivedi, present there in the crowd, promptly shared the news with Dwivedi, who then shared it with Sonia Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi also came to learn about it and asked Digvijay Singh to intervene in the matter. Diggi Raja then made him realise that Sindhia has committed a political blunder.

The plan of Prakash Ambedkar joining Congress has gone into the shell, just as it seemed it was on the verge of accomplishment. Sources say that Congress had not only promised him seat in Rajya Sabha, it had also decided to make him a general secretary of the party. A press conference had also been planned in Delhi that was supposed to be addressed by Rahul and Prakash jointly. But Ambedkar took a U-turn at last moment stating that he was not ready for his party to be merged in Congress but only wanted an electoral alliance. It is believed that annoyed with this move Rahul Gandhi cancelled the press conference in a huff. The opportunity of seeing Gandhi and Ambedkar sharing the stage has been missed once again.

Ace leader of Samajwadi Party Sharad Yadav had a tiff with the party’s national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP, Harivansh. Actually, Harivansh is a famous journalist and has been the owner and Chief Editor of a popular Hindi daily named Prabhat Khabar. He is quite close to CM Nitish Kumar. The reason for Yadav’s annoyance with Harivansh is an editorial that he wrote in his newspaper, favouring demonetisation. Yadav said that Harivansh should have first consulted him about his views on the matter, before writing any such thing. To this Harivansh replied, straight and clear: “I have already asked Nitish ji’s opinion.”

All is over between between Navjot Singh Siddhu and the Bains Brothers. When they joined AAP, Siddhu was left with no option but to knock on the doors of the Congress Party. Actually, whenever Samarjit Singh Bains used to call Siddhu for any political discussion, he replied that he was busy shooting in Mumbai. Tired of his attitude, Bains called Manish Sisodia, the number two in Aam Admi Party and joined it. Immediately after this, Siddhu’s wife Dr Navjot Kaur met Captain Amrinder Singh, who spoke to Rahul Gandhi regarding this. It was decided that Navjot Kaur will fight election in Punjab on a Congress ticket and if Amrinder Singh is elected as CM of Punjab, he will vacate his Lok Sabha seat for hubby Siddhu. If it doesn’t happen then Congress will send him to Rajya Sabha. And the deal was cracked.

The loud protests in the wake of the currency ban has left the saffron politics of the ruling party completely off tune, with Parliament becoming a battleground in which the opposition gladiators are making all the deep jabs they can on the ruling party.
Economists who have connections with the Congress or Left parties are apprehensive that this ban may turn into the last nail in the coffin of the Modi government. Reason? Similar moves in the past in other countries like the USSR, Ghana, Nigeria and North Korea had brought internal turmoil.
When a poor African country like Ghana put a ban on big currency back in 1982 in order to curb corruption and tax evasion, the decision threw the country to the wolves. A handful of rich people converted their money into foreign currencies.
It was the common man who suffered the most. Most reached banks after travelling miles but returned empty handed due to the scarcity of new currency. Many of those who did get new currency were looted on their way back.
There were bundles and bundles of old currency lying waste after the expiry of the deadline. The economy of the country was ruined completely. Similar crises were triggered in other African countries like Nigeria and Zaire when they went for demonitisation.
North Korea faced severe consequences when Dictator Kim Jong II imposed a currency ban. Agriculture in the country was adversely affected and people died of starvation. The dictator had to apologise to the citizens. His finance minister was held responsible for that imprudent move and was sentenced to death.
Currency ban was suddenly declared in the USSR in 1991 by the then President Mikhail Gorbachev. His government declared one third of the circulated money illegal.
The move led to high inflation in the country and its economy was shattered. Eventually, this led to the breakup of USSR. God willing, in India too, the politics of these sly jackals (read economists) who triggered this crisis will exposed soon and give some relief to poor Modi, who is being needled across parties for this.

People working in government mints spread across the country were under the impression that the new currency notes they were printing, would be out in the market by December.
They did not have any clue that 500 and 1,000 rupee notes would suddenly be declared illegal tender before the replacement new currency hits the market. What was the hurry for the PM?
There are signs of some panic it seems. According to sources, for the first time in the history of BJP, all cabinet ministers who came to attend the meeting, were asked to leave their mobile phones outside the meeting hall.
Therefore, it is natural to ask why the decision of currency ban, which was due only in December, was so rushed.
Scuttlebutt is that out of nowhere, a picture of the new Rs 2,000 note went viral on the social media, starting with Hyderabad on November 6, leaving no option for the government but to take the decision in a rushed and hushed manner.

In the upcoming trial at the hustings in Uttar Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Party will most likely to take credit for currency ban stealing the rug from under the feet of India’s bête noire, both, underworld don Daud Ibrahim and terrorism mastermind Hafeez Sayeed, both based in Pakistan.
According to sources, satta, or illegal betting, over the issue of who would get into White House, Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, had reached unbelievable and unprecedented proportions.
Intelligence agencies had apparently estimated that the size of this US polls satta operation, controlled by Daud’s henchmen, was equivalent to the total of satta transactions for scores of cricket matches put together.
Since most Indians had rooted for Clinton, at the end of the US polls, Daud picked up a huge volume of money. Apparently, the ban on currency just a day ahead of the polls, therefore, botched Daud’s attempt to get the sweepstakes funnelled back to Lahore!
