The top mandarins of the RSS seemed mighty pleased these days with the maverick Subramanian Swamy. Home Minister Rajnath Singh and RSS’ blue-eyed boy Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari are being seen frequently in the company of Swamy. Nagpur sources say that it is on the Sangh’s express orders that Swamy has held back his acerbic and vitriolic tongue. Which is precisely why his sudden unprovoked explosive comments and ‘revelations’ are of late in short supply. This is evident from Swamy’s ‘benevolent silence’ on his bête noire of a few months back, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley; or on his animus against the Attorney General. In fact, despite the Supreme Court unceremoniously sending off BCCI honcho Anurag Thakur, Swamy has maintained a stoic silence!

The Bharatiya Janata Party, worried with the growing popular clout of youth CM Akhilesh Yadav, has coined a new moniker for him: Aurangzeb.
Though the internecine war within the Samajwadi Party, involving Papa Mulayam and Pappu Akhilesh, has tarred the image of the party, a latest survey says that it has come as a boon for the young man. His shedding tears in public over his humiliation has etched the picture of a young Samaritan trying his best to fight the evils of corruption and the rule of goons in Uttar Pradesh. This will substantially boom his vote clout, the survey report suggests.
The vexed veterans at BJP’s war room have thus turned to maligning Akhilesh as ‘Aurangzeb’, whom the BJP despises anyway, as seen in renaming the Delhi road named after the last Great Moghul. The saffron party hints that Akhilesh is, like Aurangzeb, fratricidal. The BJP think tank has started this campaign on the only platform it knows well: Social Media.
But what bothers the party is that social media is practically absent where Akhilesh’s tears have moistened voters’ eyes the most: the vales and villages of the state.
Now what to do?

With the contract of the last CEO of Lok Sabha TV Seema Gupta’s coming to an end, a search party is out to find a replacement. As of now, the Executive Director (Marketing and Promotion) of Lok Sabha TV, Sumit Singh, has been appointed as caretaker CEO, though it is doubtful how much editorial experience he has.
If sources are to be believed, a special interview board has been constituted with Rahul Dev and Abhilash Khandekar as members. Now, Rahul Dev is a renowned Hindi journalist who has experience in television coverage as well. But who is this Khandekar character? Little birds chirp that he is a blue-eyed boy of ‘Tai’ and got a job in the National Bureau of a Madhya Pradesh-based Hindi daily. It is another thing that he has no experience working in TV.
On the other hand, it is quite interesting that in the list of ‘runners’ for the post of CEO of LS TV, the names that figure are those of former CEOs Rajiv Mishra and Sumit Tondan, who had curried favour during the previous UPA regime, pulling their clouts. It seems they are changing feathers with the change in regime.

Ratan Tata has many a powerful politicians in the ruling party as his friends. Not only does he have sources in many crucial ministries, he has a direct line of communication with PM Modi. It is being said that his new founded camaraderie with once bitter rival Mukesh Ambani has further bolstered Tata’s political arsenal. Sources say that it is on the suggestion of one such heavyweight minister that Tata decided to meet RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. They say too that he went to meet Bhagwat with designer-politician Shaina NC, who has a huge clout in the Modi ministry.
During his frank tete-a-tete with the saffron boss, sources reveal, Tata mentioned how close he has been to leaders like George Fernandez and Subramanian Swamy.
Tata apparently told Bhagwat that during the infamous Emergency under late Indira Gandhi, he had given shelter to Swamy and Fernandez in one of his flats.
Sources say that Tata also has a good clout in the judiciary, and that his current bête noire Cyrus Mistry is well aware of that, no doubt also, about the implications of that in the current feud in the Tata empire.

There was a time when the two Mughals of Indian industry never really shared a convivial peace pipe. We are talking about Ratan Tata and Mukesh Ambani. But the pressure of the changed situation on the one hand, and the efforts of powerbroker Nira Radia on the other, have made them the best of friends, or so it seems. So much so, that Tata finalises his every hard punch on Cyrus Mistry only after consulting ‘friend’ Mukesh. There are birds cooing that recently, when Tata telephoned Ambani, he was gymming it out in a hotel in Amsterdam. And yet, Mukesh took the call.
On the other hand, Nusli Wadia too had an ‘anti-hero’ role in getting the two together. Wadia’s bitter opposition to the Ambani patriarch, late Dhirubhai, is common knowledge. And in the Tata-Mistry war, Wadia has clearly sided with the latter, hence enemy’s enemy = friend. It is a roaring friendship now, with the elder Ambani scion openly supporting Tata in his war with Cyrus.

The battle is on in Yadav Parivar. There is lot of known and not so known aspects. Few are calling it a battle between Ramgopal and Amar Singh, others still connote it as father/ son conspiracy. They say that despite all hype and hoopla the communication between Akhilesh and Mulayam is on. On one hand Akhilesh is considering opinion of senior professor of political science and Public policy Steve Jarding at the same time he has been taking opinions of Mulayam Singh on major political decisions. As per sources the reason behind turmoil in Yadav parivar is the political ambition of Professor Ramgopal Yadav. Amar Singh seems to be quite piqued by the fact that Professor Ramgopal did not let any outsider to be in the party. Be it Amar Singh himself, Satpal Malik, Raj Babbar or Rahgu Thakur. It is said that since last few months the conversation between Ramgopal and Mulayam is at stall as Mulayam feels that Ramgopal is directing Akhilesh against him. As per the sources the entire political drama is to benefit the Prime Minister as on 30th of December after the completion of 50 days of demonetization opposition was about to create unrest. Certainly, the Yadav family tiff left no space for any other news. In the recent developments, if SP legislators will drew towards Akhilesh, the father will have to agree to his son.

Have you forgotten Kanishka Singh once a close aid of Rahul Gandhi ? These days he is studying law from University of Delhi’s law faculty. Interestingly, he is accompanied by former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda’s son and MP Deepender Hooda. In last few days, the students of law faculty clamored against their low attendance and raised questions that how they came in second year without any hassle. Consequently, the administration had doused the ire but the spark is still there.

Shaina NC is all set for her political stunt. These days she is in news when she visited RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat at Reshim Baug in Nagpur. It will be fair to reckon here that Shaina’s brother is prominent pillar of Tata’s legal sale. Shaina with the help of his brother managed to touch base with Ratan Tata. The Tata Versus Mistry war is on the final verge. In this case Shaina won a major battle by making Tata meet the RSS chief. These days she is in list of close aides of Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Before this she was seen around with Amit Shah and Nitin Gadkari. But infelicitously she couldn’t achieve much, neither could she manage to get ticket of Lok Sabha from Mumbai nor could she become the Member of Rajya Sabha. This is why in the changed political scenario Shaina is in search of a new role.

A few days back L.K Advani telephoned Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and asked about the special package. He was quite worried about it. Naidu sensed his apprehension and immediately sent two ministers of central government to give a brief on special package. So that Advani could apprise the PM about special package. Sources say that Advani assured Naidu that he will send a delegation in favour of Andhra to PM. When these two ministers reached Advani he just talked about the presidential elections. Hurt by this Naidu gave this information to Venkaiah Naidu over the phone. Venkaiah exhorted him to talk directly to PM.

Congress MP from Bengal Abhijit Mukherjee met his party Vice President Rahul Gandhi to complain against Adhir Ranjan, Bengal Congress member. The complaint was that Adhir is not only on pay roll of Mamata but he is also involved in anti social activities. Abhijit appealed Rahul that Bengal should get a new member. Rahul summoned Adhir for clarification of allegations imposed on him. This ultimately fumed up Adhir as he immediate called Abhijit and rapped over his knuckles.
