Nitish Kumar is patting himself on the back saying that his party has paid special attention to women’s reservation and the municipality and panchayat elections are a proof of that. This time in 2015, only 25 women candidates are contesting the Assembly elections from the Mahagathbandhan, which is a coalition of the JD-U, the RJD and the Congress. Bihar’s election has become a prestige issue for the Modi-Shah duo, so it is being fought at different levels and stages. Few days back an English daily quoted that in an important meeting with Modi, Asaduddin Owaisi had discussed the strategies to be adopted in the Bihar elections. The moment this news was published, Team Nitish sprang into action and got 10 lakh photo copies made of the news clipping and distributed it in every nook and corner of Bihar. The very next day M J Akbar and Owaisi gave their clarifications, thereafter BJP made plans to sue the newspaper, the moment the newspaper smelled the legal action being taken by the BJP they immediately denied the news. Samajwadi Party has fielded its candidates for the Bihar elections but till date it has not been decided as to who will spear head the election campaign.
