Modi’s big money bag

Posted on 07 May 2010 by admin

The maligned brat of IPL Lalit Modi has opened his money bags for the lawyers. Sources say he is even prepared to pay Rs 50 lakhs to several famous lawyers. It should be remembered that Modi has to reply to the BCCI notice within 15 days. After receiving Modi’s reply, BCCI could hand over the matter to the Disciplinary Committee. The three-member Disciplinary Committee comprises Chirayu Amin, Shashank Manohar and Arun Jaitley. The Disciplinary Committee can place its action taken report before the general meeting of the Board, where Modi could be axed. Modi is for the time being engaged with the lawyers. Famous advocate Mukul Rohatgi has declined to take his case. The son of Fali S. Nariman has also refused it and Modi does not see much promise in the lawyers who are saying yes to it.

U.P., Bihar and Bhoomihar

Posted on 07 May 2010 by admin

The political atmosphere in the saffron party has warmed up over the elections in Bihar. And ever since C.P. Thakur, who in an unprecedented manner represents the Bhoomihar caste, has become the new party State president, it is as if a tremor has jolted the internal party politics. The Sushil Modi group, which had been dominating the Bihar politics, has been taken aback. The tussle between the Mangal Pandey group and the Ashwini Chaubey group has thrown open new opportunities for the Bhoomihar lobby. Now Gadkari wants that Ananth Kumar, who hails from Karnataka, should be handed over the charge of Bihar. But on Ananth Kumar’s name there is a turmoil in Bihar BJP. So the Gadkari loyalists are at present sitting silently and watching the waves of Bihar politics. Now since Dr. Thakur has become the president of Bihar BJP, so the candidature of Surya Prakash Singh for the post of president of U.P. BJP has for the time hold been put on hold. Since Shahi is also a Bhoomihar, his rival camp is forwarding the argument that how can Bhoomihars be given the reins of party politics in two adjoining Hindi speaking States. But the confident Shahi camp is of the view that when there can be seven Brahmins in the BJP Parliamentary Party, and the presidents of half-a-dozen State units can also be from the party, then why such a storm over the claim of two Bhoomihars to presidential posts.

Tandon springs like a surprise

Posted on 05 May 2010 by admin

If you have not forgotten the Ashok Tandon of Vajpayee era, then he
has become the media adviser of the newly-elected BJP president Nitin
Gadkari. Tandon was once posted as the diplomatic editor of an Indian
news agency in London. Then he became the media adviser of Vajpayee.
On leaving that he became the director of Makhanlal Chaturvedi
Institute. At present he stays in Gurgaon adjoining Delhi. In the last
10 years no one has seen him coming or going out of BJP, then how come
such a sudden rise for him …  after all whose hand is behind all this?
The party people are also angry with Gadkari because they want to know
how could he appoint such a person as his adviser whom the new
generation of journalists can not even identify.

Dhoot’s emissary

Posted on 22 April 2010 by admin

It seems the pressure of Sharad Pawar and Praful Patel is showing its colour. The IPL team of Kochi could get out of the hands of its present franchisee Rendezvous and now it could go to a third party or Venugopal Dhoot. Dhoot who? The Videocon man.

Joshi is ready to hit back

Posted on 16 April 2010 by admin

Unfearful and undeterred, and eager to shed the burden of his past, Sanjay Joshi is upon coming out of the crisis of identity and integrity desirous of picking weapons for hitting back hard at his
opponents. Joshi knows who had done the work of putting acid in his roots – one Advani, Narendra Modi and that office-bearer in the Central office of BJP with whom Sanjay was never on good terms. Joshi was proud to be a swayamsewak but the insensitive Sangh even took away their tag from him in Rajgir. So Joshi is full of revenge and he has gathered a bagful of facts against his opponents. His facts had so much sharpness that Venkaiah Naidu went running to Gadkari and told this that what Sanjay was saying could not be dismissed by considering them to be baseless. His works and his fact carry a lot of weight. So, in the days to come, Gadkari could call Sanjay Joshi and discuss some
important issues with him. Is this an attempt to blunt a rebellious sword?

Biggest businessman

Posted on 04 April 2010 by admin

In BJP’s new CCTV, the picture has already started blurring. His approach is less of a political and more of a management guru. To those coming to him, he tells this episode with great interest – that how with a meagre Rs 5,000 he had started his business and today his entire business is worth Rs 1,500 crore. But who would tell Gadkari that the rules of the political game are very different and they are at least not very business like.
