Badals miffed with Sidhu

Posted on 02 March 2014 by admin

Navjot Singh Sidhu was conspicuous by his absence at BJP’s Fateh Rally at Amritsar in Punjab. The BJP parliamentarian gave the rally a miss, but no one missed him on the dais. Everyone treated him like a castaway leader; Narendra Modi too preferred not to mention him even once during the rally. Nothing happens without a reason in politics. Chief Minsiter Parkash Singh Badal and his political heir Sukhbir Singh Badal are miffed with Sidhu over several matters. It’s understood that on one hand Parkash has vowed to put his best to secure victory for all BJP candidates, on the other hand it seems he will leave no stone unturned to ensure Sidhu’s defeat in Amritsar. Now the party is left with the only option to give Sidhu ticket from West Delhi Lok Sabha seat.

Ashutosh Gupta in Chandni Chowk

Posted on 28 February 2014 by admin

AAP’s candidate from Chandni Chowk is former TV anchor Ashutosh, and political parties are now looking for hidden skeletons in his closet. They have now come to the conclusion that AAP’s intention behind introducing Ashutosh from Chandni Chowk is to attract the Vaishya voters in the area. That is because Ashutosh’s father S N Lal Gupta retired from the income tax department and stays in Lucknow’s Gomtinagar  area. He primarily belongs to Gonda, and his last posting was in Varanasi. With his paparazzi journalism, Ashutosh had come into the limelight when Dalit leader Kanshiram had slapped him.

Didi’s no to Nancy

Posted on 28 February 2014 by admin

The meeting between American Ambassador Nancy Powell and Narendra Modi hoarded headlines, but few people know that the same Nancy Powell has asked for Mamata’s appointment  thrice. But Didi is avoiding the meeting, even though Nancy has met with Mamata along with Hillary Clinton in the past. On the other hand, when the Pakistani ambassador asked for time from Didi, he got the appointment without any hassle. Actually, Mamata does not want to risk offending her Muslim voters by meeting any Americans.

Abhijit: The prodigal son

Posted on 28 February 2014 by admin

P Chidambaram may be exploring opportunities for contesting election from Shiv Ganga, but he can see the Congress not doing too well there. He is also looking at a possible seat in the yet-to-be-formed Telengana. But sources reveal that he faced nothing but disappointment there. So now he has made up his mind to get inducted into the Rajya Sabha. On the other hand, Pranab Mukherjee’s son Abhijit Mukherjee has also given up his dream of contesting from Darjeeling, and has turned back to Jangipur. Abhijit is a candidate from Jangipur but he wanted to vacate the seat for Azharuddin. AAP is looking at contesting Virendra Sehwag from Rohtak and P C Chacko is pushing for Sharmila Tagore’s name from Gurgaon. It must be noted that Sharmila-Pataudi’s principality is also in this area. Nawab Pataudi has contested the elections from here once but he got  merely 14,000-15,000 votes that time.

Rahul upset with the ad agencies

Posted on 28 February 2014 by admin

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s excitement was worth seeing when two foreign companies were given the account for the party’s election campaign . But as time passed, their real mettle – which wasn’t very much – was there for anyone to see. Now Rahul is so upset with the ad agencies that he called for the chiefs of the two agencies and gave them a piece of his mind. Rahul’s anger was about how Modi’s election campaign “Vote for India” became far more popular and raced ahead of other campaign by the Congress? Sources reveal that Rahul has also called for more ad agencies and make a presentation, which means both these foreign ad agencies may end up losing business.

AAP’s soaring graph

Posted on 08 February 2014 by admin

Political strategists are worried about AAP’s increasing popularity. Sources reveal that the Aam Aadmi Party recently carried out a national public opinion survey and the results of the survey have shown that AAP is slotted to get 32-36 seats across the country. The survey has also pointed out that because of AAP, the Congress might lose 70-75 seats, and the BJP about 40-50 seats. In Delhi alone, the Congress’ vote share may shrunk to 10 per cent. Muslim and Dalit voters are looking at AAP in a favourable light and except South and West Delhi, the party should be confident about winning the other five seats here.

The BJP changes its stance on Telangana matter

Posted on 08 February 2014 by admin

The BJP is gradually changing its body language concerning the Telangana Bill. Initially, the BJP was in favour of the new state, but ever since something is cooking between the TRS Chief Chandrashekhar Rao and the Congress, the BJP had done a retake on the matter. And now the deal between Chandrashekhar Rao, who is leading the Telangana state movement, and the Congress is nearly finalised, wherein Rao will merge his party with the Congress, which means the state will again be in the Congress’ hands. And this is something the BJP is not agreeable to.
