It is said Mayavati was also speculating that in the negotiation, Maurya was asking for a minister’s post from the Modi government, and the BJP had dismissed his demand outright. Then he started getting cozy with the SP; Akhilesh was ready to get him into the party, but he had refused to make Maurya a minister in his government. Sources say one day Maurya’s secretary reached the party’s office one day, and one of the workers in the party who he was close to told him that “babuji” would be expelled in a couple of days, and that papers were being typed out for the same.
