It was shocking to see Shivraj V Patil resign from the Lokayukta’s post. He is known as an honest and upright judge. So did he resign in a huff or are better things in store for him?

Digvijay Singh is a tad indifferent about the UP elections. The reason being the Congress’ first list doesn’t have his son-in-law’s name, who had wanted to contest the elections from Ram Nagar. Since then Digvijay’s indifference to the elections has only increased. Mohan Prakash and Beni Prasad, on the other hand, have become more active than ever.

Who will be the country’s next President? There was several names in the fray – Hamid Ansari from the Left, Meira Kumar, A K Anthony and Pranab Mukherjee from the Congress, while the BJP is against mulling over the name of APJ Abdul Kalam. Actually, Sonia Gandhi herself wanted Pranab da to handle a constitutional responsibility, and there have been past ideas of making him the deputy PM. But that had led Chidambaram threatening to resign and even the Prime Minister wasn’t in favour of the same. But looking at the present way Pranab da has been reacting, it won’t be so easy got the Congress to ignore him this time and even the PM seems to be relenting a little. So he has called for Pranab da from Washington to New York this Friday.

Is the UPA government’s changed body language regarding Mukesh Ambani due to Pranab Mukherjee. Everyone knows how close Pranb is to Mukesh, because of which there are several complications regarding the KG basin and several other incidents thereon. Now even the home ministry has decided that it will have the CBI investigate the KG Basin scam.

With Modi, it’s not just the vote bank that Nitish has differences about. A lot also has to do with ego and arrogance. Nitish knows that there are several voices that follow everything about him. Despite all the screams, Nitish’s own voice is a part of the cacophony. IF despite all the anger and political differences, if Nitish hasn’t been able to turn away from Modi and the BJP, it is because he is nursing ambitions of becoming the prime minister. The top leadership of the BJP kept Nitish under the impression that if the BJP isn’t able to nominate its own person for PM’s post in the 2014 elections, it will place Nitish’s name for the same.

Someone should ask then when all those who gave the money and took the money in the “cash for vote” scandal are in the prison, where did all this money on the nuclear deal come from? The money allegedly came from a big multinational American company to India and the entire payment was made in India itself. And the company has been doing business in India for several decades now.

Amar Singh is holding two leaders from the Congress and BJP responsible for his present state. He feels that the entire plan was made by Chidambaram to please the Gandhi family. On the other hand, a prominent BJP leader went back on his word. The entire sting operation was planned under the supervision of the leader and Amar Singh was kept in the dark.

Once Amar Singh went to jail and got unwell, the closely confident to the Thakur leader, Jaya Prada, started to run down Amitabh who was Amar’s elder brother in his hey-days and his other friends. The result was that within two days Amitabh was there to ask Amar after his health, along with his daughter. Sanjay Dutt and Tina bhabhi went, too. It is said that this two-hour meeting between Amar Singh and Amitabh was highly emotional. Initially Amar Singh wasn’t ready to forgive bade bhaiya for all the emotional atyachaar. But when the chill between relationships thawed, gurgling streams of love burst forth. Big B also said that he really wanted to go and meet Amar in Tihar but his busy schedule got the better of him. But somewhere inside, Amar was still hurt that Jaya bhabhi didn’t come to see him.

Once the prime minister is back from the US, a decision-making meeting may take place between 10, Janpath and prime minister regarding the Pranab da and Chidambaram scenario. If the Opposition continues to attack PC as it is, he might just have to resign. The whole episode is being closely followed by Amar Singh who is in AIIMS, and those close to him. If Chidambaram doesn’t go, Amar might have to go back to Tihar because the comments Amar Singh made about PC’s son regarding the Vedanta issue is still fresh in PC’s mind.
