Sangh has decided that this time BJP will get a low profile president so that its control and supervision over the saffron party remains intact. In reality, the Sangh wants to directly hold the reins of BJP in its hands now and wants to influence the day to day working of BJP as well. So, BJP’s next president could be anyone, and that means anyone, even Bal Apte.

So to propagate the thinking of the Sangh, Rajnath Singh called an introspection meeting and a three member fact finding committee was constituted to identify the reasons for the defeat. This committee’s report was to be discussed threadbare at the introspection meeting. First the entire focus of the Advani camp was on getting the introspection meeting postponed. Everyone knew who then would be the prime target at the introspection meeting. But the Sangh overruled all the arguments of the Advani camp and gave the green signal for the introspection meeting. This report was put in the kit of all the 24 party leaders who were to participate in the introspection meeting. It is now known to all that how the very existence of this report was later questioned …and why?

Suresh Soni has put all his might behind making Shivraj Singh Chauhan the next president of BJP. This lobby of the Sangh believes that if perchance Shivraj becomes the president of BJP then the vacant seat of Madhya Pradesh CM should go to Narendra Singh Tomar and Prabhat Jha should be made the next president of Madhya Pradesh unit of BJP. What an honest thought this is. Great! Even if the party goes into the dumps, our shop must keep running.

Wow! What say BJP! After dumping Chautala all of a sudden, it is now increasing its proximity to Ajit Singh. The architects of this new alliance insist that by fighting along with Ajit Singh, BJP would gain Jat votes. But if Jat votes were indeed needed, then what was wrong with Chautala? And why did BJP spurn the hand of friendship that Kuldeep Bishnoi had extended? This only Rajnath can tell better or maybe even Sushma.

When Arun Jaitley was going to speak on the fact finding report in a press conference, party president Rajnath Singh advised him to adopt an evasive tactic. But Jaitley who is considered a master in management ended up saying in great enthusiasm that there was no such report, this when the Advani camp had already leaked this report in the in media and it was already being shown on several television channels. Now it was a matter of Jaitley’s reliability and also face saving and so the party kept denying till the last moment the existence of any such report.

A mere 23 senior leaders of the party were present during BJP’s introspection meeting in Shimla. But what was Pratibha Advani doing there? After Jaswant’s expulsion from the party, during the lunch Pratibha went to every senior leader and expressed her regret at the developments saying Jaswant has been victimised. But barring Advani, who in his speech made a serious mention of Jaswant, none of the leaders paid heed to Pratibha’s talk.
