Posted on 18 November 2013 by admin

While Modi is busy selling dreams, the son of a prominent Congress minister allegedly bought a hotel for Rs 2,000 crore in New York recently. It is worth mentioning here that this is the same son of a minister who is pretty active on the stock market; it is the same minister who has a number of properties in Singapore and this is the same minister who is eyeing the prime minister’s seat, hoping to get it once Manmohan Singh vacates it. This is not the only Congress minister when it comes to investing in foreign countries; in the recent past, several prominent Congress ministers and party members have shifted their businesses overseas and have also made investments there. They have probably sensed the coming political changes.

Big industrial houses are vying to outdo one another when it comes to giving out donations to Narendra Modi. Most of them are angry with the Central government that is being led by the Congress. They want to give their money and vote to the Congress. But Modi is choosy when it comes to election funds and relies only of his trustworthy industrialist friends for the same. To the others, it is said that they will be told about donations when it is time.

A safe Bahuguna

Posted on 23 October 2013 by admin

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna has got another lease of life from the Congress high command, or he was in danger of losing his post. What happened was that this time, Priyanka Gandhi is considering contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Allahabad constituency. Bahuguna family has significant influence over people in Allahabad, especially the Brahmin families. Rita Bahuguna has been pretty active here in the past and the Gandhi family does not want to risk annoying the Bahuguna family at this juncture.

Kalyug’s Gandhi

Posted on 23 October 2013 by admin

High voltage drama erupted at the prestigious India International Centre a few days ago. Congress Parliamentarian Dr Karan Singh’s close associate Kishore Gandhi tried to get personal with a lady at its main gate. It is said that this Gandhi of Kalyug was drunk. When video footage of the main gate was gone through, Gandhi was seen to be misbehaving with the lady. After this, he was banned from the main gate of IIC. It is worth mentioning here that Gandhi is close to several Congress politicians including Meira Kumar. A few days later when a retired army general hosted a party at IIC, he also invited Gandhi for the same. When Gandhi reached there for the party, IIC officials present there refused to serve him anything. When the general found out about it, he showed Gandhi the door with great difficulty. Only then did the party resume peacefully.

A prominent SP leader Prof Ramgopal Yadav’s daughter-in-law Richa Yadav was in the news a few days ago, and for all the wrong reasons. It is believed that her security officers went into a pharmaceutical retailer’s shop and beat him up. When the matter gathered attention, a police case was made and her security guards were arrested. Ramgopal’s son Akshay Yadav is SP’s candidate from Firozabad constituency. Richa and Akshay’s friendship turned into love when both of them were studying at Amity University. Richa comes from a Sikh family and her father is a pilot. The other detail worth noting is that UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s Parliamentary wife Dimple Yadav has never seen eye-to eye with Richa.

The editor-owner at loggerheads

Posted on 29 September 2013 by admin

The editor-in-chief of an investigative magazine that is published from Delhi is in trouble. The owner of the newspaper, who had given the temporary responsibility of the publication to the editor and had settled abroad, is back in India for domestic reasons. When he came back, he found out that Mr Editor has purchased 19 per cent stake in the newspaper in his own and in his wife’s name. Of course this rankled with him and he started to trim the editor’s wings ever since. The editor is good friends with a top industrialist, the American lobby and the country’s finance minister, so he is not going to give up easily. A note: the editor’s property is gauged to more than Rs 400 crore.

BSP-Congress come closer

Posted on 29 September 2013 by admin

The Congress is really serious about an election coalition with the BSP and wants that the announcement should be made before the Assembly elections in the five states. The Congress feels that in that case it may get votes from the Dalits in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh. A “friendly fight” may take place for a few seats in Delhi and a coalition may happen for others. But the biggest challenge is to strike a balance for seats in Uttar Pradesh. Mayavati wants to leave only 30 seats for the Congress, which is asking for 40 seats. And if the SP doesn’t like the SP-Congress coalition and puts the UPA-2 in danger, the Parliament may be dissolved before the Assembly elections in any of these states.
