Uma Bharti has taken a bath at Gangotri. The path has also been paved for her return to BJP. The saffron party is not only prepared to have her back in the fold, but is also agreeable to giving her the charge of U.P.

Posted on 26 May 2010 by admin

ShyamShyam Jaju, who holds the reins of the BJP central office, has
got a clean chit from the charge of financial wheeling-dealing. Leader
of BJP in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley was probing the Jaju matter and now
he has submitted his report to the party high command. In this report
Jaitley has termed Jaju spotless and he has also clarified that only a
few lakhs have been found in Jaju’s account which was earlier
projected to have a much bigger amount. And the land about which
allegations were levelled against him were also found to be fake. In
the report, the needle of suspicion points towards Sanjay Joshi and
company that he was the mastermind of Operation Jaju. So now Shyam can
breathe easy.

Geared up over 2G

Posted on 18 May 2010 by admin

The Congress is serious about the 2G scam issue. The Prime Minister is also ready to drop A. Raja from his Cabinet. After all this is a matter of the image of his Cabinet. So the Congress leaders are themselves distributing damaging literature against Raja. When Karunanidhi came to Delhi recently to meet Sonia Gandhi, the Congress had explained clearly to the man wearing the dark glasses that it had a lot of ammunition with it and so they should refrain from issuing threats of walking out of the alliance. And in this matter the Congress has also initiated a CBI probe so that when the time comes the DMK could be shown its place.

Shukla on cloud nine

Posted on 05 May 2010 by admin

Because of the IPL issue dark clouds may be hovering over Lalit Modi, Tharoor and Pawar, but for Rajiv Shukla all this is like a dream come true. All of a sudden he is calling the shots in the corridors of power of the Congress. Sometimes he would brief Sonia on the IPL issue, and at other Pranab and PM, and very often he would now receive the call from Ahmed Patel. So the Sharad Pawar, who had make allarrangements to corner the Government on the cut motion, and had got into contact with Sharad Yadav, Farooq and Lalu for it, now came around after Shukla made him to agree through Praful Patel on getting a call from Ahmed Patel. So Shukla has the blessing of both 10 Janpath and 7 Race Course these days. It has been learnt that he is about to strike gold. The field is open, the post of BCCI chief is about to lie vacant in June, the resignation of Lalit Modi from the post of IPL commissioner is also coming on 26 ….  And a reshuffle in the Manmohan Cabinet is long overdue.

Saffron Gandhi sparkles

Posted on 26 April 2010 by admin

BJP’s young leader and Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi did cast a spell with his maiden speech in Parliament. When on Thursday, Varun raised the issue of the martyrdom of the 76 CRPF men killed in Dantewada, he got so emotional while making a mention of the insensitivity of the Central and State Governments, that even Advani was unable to prevent himself from crying in the Lok Sabha. Varun’s aunt Sonia Gandhi also became remorseful for some time. After Varun completed his speech in Lok Sabha, Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj may have been the first to pat his back, but even Congress and Communist MPs came forward to congratulate him. In Dantewada, 47 personnel from UP alone had been killed. When Varun reached Panchta village to meet their family members, the three-year-old son of a slain soldier climbed on to him and the first thing he asked was when his father would return? Varun
raised the question in the House that `why have we become so insensitive towards the sacrifices of our martyrs that even their death has become only a statistic for us?’ Varun also asked if this is what our democracy was where the State Governments have unlimited money and unaccounted funds for making the statues of living leaders and their hand bags, but when it comes to making memorials for the
martyr sons, the coffers turn empty.

Tough times for Modi

Posted on 22 April 2010 by admin

The Government is preparing to tighten the noose the around the IPL king Lalit Modi who was recently seen smiling, talking to and getting himself photographed with many sexy beauties. Several cases of income tax and FERA are being made against him and Modi’s file is pending with the Union Finance Minister for his approval to start the
investigations. The matter is connected with the telecast rights of Modi’s Mauritius based company WSG. It is understood that Sony’s present head Kunaldas Gupta had in collusion with Modi duped Sony a great deal in the name of getting the telecast rights and WSG was given many big rights at very cheap rates and after this Gupta parted ways with Sony and formed his own company and on the sly became a business partner in Modi’s company. The game is big and so are the players. But Modi may have to pay some price for his Vasu connections. Simultaneously the owners of two big television companies are after Modi’s life. So the coming days could be really tough for Modi.

Loudmouth cuts a sorry figure

Posted on 16 April 2010 by admin

The Bihari babu is angry and there are several genuine reasons for his being crossed with the party high command. Shatru asks that if in the nation executive of BJP, Ms. and Mr. Vinod Khanna can come, then why can’t he be in it with his wife? Even otherwise the party members are now calling the newly-formed national executive of Gadkar a cultural executive because in the existing executive there are over a dozen film stars. In such times, overlooking the Sinha couple really amounts to injustice.

Caught between the …

The Mumbai Sea Link controversy is refusing to die down. The nervous and afraid Ashok Chavan still looks pale and is still having to give explanations to the Congress high command that – `Why did you go where Amitabh was present?’ Realising the sensitivity of the situation, BJP has also jumped in. Even otherwise, ever since Amitabh has announced that he would be the brand ambassador for Goa, Jaya Bachchan could be seen meeting or chatting up with some of the senior leaders of BJP. If the claims of the sources are to be believed then Jaya Bachchan is going to get her next Rajya Sabha seat from the BJP quota. This despite Mulayam still having kept the doors of his party open for Jaya.

A fair division

Everyone knows that Mamta and Brinda Karat cannot see eye to eye. So the manner in which Brinda, who dons a large bindi, hogged the limelight because of the way in which the Women’s Reservation Bill was
passed in Rajya Sabha, and the style in which she took the centrestage on the issue and the way in which an excited Brinda hugged the saffron party leader Sushma Swaraj and posed for the camerapersons after the Bill was passed, was enough to leave Mamta perturbed. So she took all her anger out on the Women’s Bill. So while on the one hand Brinda Karat lauded the role played by the marshals in Rajya Sabha, Mamta
criticised the manner in which they were used. So no matter how, there is always a reason to protest. What say, Mamta didi?

Trouble for Rajnath

Posted on 07 March 2010 by admin

The various organisations of the party could also be reorganised. Rajnath’s people may find themselves at the receiving end. Ramapati Tripathi, Vinod Pandey and the like could be shown the door. The importance of the likes of V. Satish could decline. The proverbial Damocles’ sword is also hanging over the joint in-charge of Uttarakhand Anil Jain. But he could succeed in saving himself. Because his father-in-law Hridyanath Jain wields a lot of influence in the Sangh and Jain also enjoys good relations with Ram Lal.
