Fight for the post

Posted on 07 March 2010 by admin

While late Pramod Mahajan’s son Rahul Mahajan is busy with his Swayamvar on television, his dear sister Poonam Mahajan is applying all the pressure to become the president of the Yuva Morcha. The
strongest claim to this post is of Varun Gandhi. Dhumal’s son Anurag Thakur is also in queue. Will Gadkari’s Marathi manus card work at the last moment?

`House’ that

Posted on 07 March 2010 by admin

Honourable Ram Jethmalani has been served a notice to vacate the official bungalow. So Ram Jethmalani applied all his might to make Narendra Modi give him a Rajya Sabha seat from Gujarat and even if he is unable to do so then he could at least make his son occupy that vacated Rajya Sabha seat for a year. In return he is prepared to look into and fight all of Modi’s cases. But when Jethmalani failed to make any impact in Modi’s court, he knocked at the door of Mayawati. It
would be interesting to see how Mayawati would respond to his overtures.

Excess is bad

Now that we are talking about Anil Ambani, so there was another incident and Tony Yesudasan and his sycophants may please excuse us. It pertains to Dubai where Thakur Amar Singh had gone to celebrate his birthday. He had taken younger brother Anil Ambani along. Everyone
knows how much the younger Ambani is concerned about his health. The more the stress he experiences, the more the time he spends in the gym or on his walks. So when the hale and hearty Anil simply collapsed and fell in Amar’s party, a team of doctors was immediately summoned. The doctors found the blood sugar level of the younger Ambani to be quite high. So he was immediately treated upon and the doctors also advised him that he should restrain from excessive exercise. What all should poor Anil restrain from?

Big gains from Big B

Posted on 07 March 2010 by admin

Ever since Big B has become the brand ambassador of Gujarat, it is as if his friends have also struck gold. In order to give something big to the Big B, Narendra Modi has urged him to develop a film city on the Gujarat-Maharashtra border. If the talk is of a film city, then Amitabh finds the land in Goa to be more conducive to the idea than Gujarat. So he has headed for Goa and he had handed over the responsibility of Modi to his younger brother Anil Ambani, who is exploring the possibility of new development on the Gujarat-Maharashtra border.

Dumb and dumber

In this very meeting of Congress Working Committee, Pranab invited the
suggestions and proposals of the Congress MPs in the wake of the
forthcoming Budget session. But it was surprising that no Congress MP
had any constructive proposal for the budgetary provisions. As Pranab
looked into their eyes, they all evaded eye contact.

increased. Earlier he used to forget to answer several starred
questions in Parliament and recently when he came to Parliament House,
instead of going towards his own room he began walking toward’s
someone elses. His aides quickly rushed to him and told him that he
had left his office behind. It was only then that Murli returned.

In the footsteps of Rahul

Posted on 13 January 2010 by admin

Apart from Sonia and Congress activists, regional satraps like Lalu
and Mulayam are also keeping an eye on the activities of Rahul Gandhi.
Another Yadav leader, Sharad Yadav, is not in favour of taking Rahul
so seriously. But Mulayam, who is facing the outcome of the Amar
episode, called his son Akhilesh and advised him to watch out for
Rahul’s activities and in the way Rahul has spent so much time on
Youth Congress and NSUI to breathe new life into the Congress, Mulayam
wants that Akhilesh too should strive hard to strengthen the party’s
youth wing. Lalu is surprised at the Congress performance in
Jharkhand. Six months ago the political observers were predicting a
wipe out for the Congress in Jharkhand and when the mist cleared
following these elections, the Congress was pleased as punch with its
performance in the Jharkhand elections.

Telangana remains a slippery issue

Posted on 13 January 2010 by admin

To pour water on the burning Telangana issue, Sonia Gandhi held a
serious and detailed consultation with her political secretary Ahmed
Patel and in that meeting it was decided that Andhra Chief Minister
Rosaiah call an all-party meeting in Hyderabad and in that meeting he
should announce that on the issue of Telangana a resolution would be
moved in the Assembly in the next couple of days. But despite all the
efforts of Rosaiah this could not happen. The real concern of the
Congress is TRS chief Rajshekhar Rao who is taking away all the credit
of the Telangana issue. The Congress MPs of Andhra are also worried
about people’s anger over the Telangana issue. The search for the
elusive formula that would be acceptable to all is still on.
