No joy from Jagan

Posted on 28 May 2012 by admin

How the noose tightened around Jagan Mohan Reddy on the case of property more than his income, is a long story. The minute something started to brew between Jagan and the BJP, the Congress managers perked up their ears. It is believed that when Jagan, paraded his 18 Assembly members in front of BJP President Nitin Gadkari and assured him that he will support the NDA candidate for Presidential elections, the CBI’s clutch on Jagan tightened. Congress managers clearly stated to Jagan that he should either support the UPA candidate or get ready to go to jail. Jagan supports are repeatedly trying to tell that this property the CBI is talking about is from the times of YSR. Why didn’t the government supported by the Congress take any action against him?

This is how Modi came around

Posted on 28 May 2012 by admin

The BJP’s Working Committee conference was to start on May 24, and efforts were on until May 23 to get Modi to reconsider his decision. There was a time when everyone thought Modi will not come to Mumbai, but an billionaire industrialist from Gujarat, who has big businesses in ports and oil, played a big role in convincing Modi otherwise, as did an NRI well-wisher of the BJP. This NRI businessman is also close to Nitish has old associations with Modi, too. Modi met both of them and told them what was in his heart and only after that were prepartations made to sacrifice Sanjay Joshi on the political altar.

What about Gadkari’s new team?

Posted on 28 May 2012 by admin

The other moot question is when will Gadkari form his new team? Sources reveal that he will make do with his old team. Gujarat will see Assembly elections by the end of this year and major changes can happen with Team Gadkari after that. A possibility is also doing the rounds that Modi might get a seat in the BJP’s Parliamentary board.

Sangma gets Opposition’s support

Posted on 07 May 2012 by admin

P A Sangma is trying with all his might for the President’s post and it looks like his tribal card is being noticed. Former Parliamentarian Arvind Netam, who had got several tribal organisations under one roof to speak in favour of Sangma also met several chief ministers of different states on Saturday and is slated to meet Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi on Monday. The strangest behaviour regarding the Sangma issue was seen on Sharad Pawar’s part, who has been a close friend of Sangma. It is believed that when some people went to meet Sharad Pawar about Sangma’s candidacy, Pawar promptly said, “Sangma is always a candidate for all posts.” Now if there is not a consensus on the name of Pranab or Hamid and it comes to elections, the Opposition may unanimously support P A Sangma’s name.

What will happen to Singhvi?

Posted on 22 April 2012 by admin

In news because of the CD scandal, it seems Abhishek Manu Singhvi’s political career may be eclipsed. If this scandal had taken place a couple of months ago, he may not have got even the Rajya Sabha seat. The Congress has decided to sideline him within the party. It is believed that the same cameras were used to make the CD that Singhvi had installed to keep an eye on the staff. It is said that only the direction of the camera was changed. The payoff of the deal was to make the person a judge, otherwise the matter could have been only one of two consenting adults and their discretion.

Where’s Beni?

Posted on 22 April 2012 by admin

People are looking around and wondering where Beni Prasad is. After spreading the illusion of an OBC card and being significantly responsible for Congress’ debacle in Uttar Pradesh elections, Beni Prasad can’t be seen even in the party’s discussion meetings. It was found that giving the reason of bad health, he is admitted to Gurgaon’s Medanta Hospital and it is believed he is being treated for his lungs because he is having trouble breathing. After putting the Congress on ventilator, it is only natural that Verma ji is ill in such a way.

A Commission on maha-corruption

Posted on 16 April 2012 by admin

Akhilesh Yadav knows that the people of Uttar Pradesh have too many high expectations from him. So, Akhilesh wants to do all those jobs first that are number one on the public’s agenda there. The first matter is of the maha-corruption that took place from Noida to Balia. A Commission may soon be formed to investigate this corruption and it could be headed by Vijay Shankar Pandey. It is worth mentioning here that it is the same Pandey who was said to be extremely powerful in the Mayawati government and it was through him that Maywati opened up the Brahmin votes. Even when Pandey was a confidant of Mayawati, he had his contact with SP intact and SP supremo Mulayam Singh would get all the big news about Mayawati’s government through him. Now the SP is using the same loyalist to finish off Mayawati.

Congress’ moves fall flat

Posted on 11 April 2012 by admin

There is news that before the Rajya Sabha elections in Jharkhand, Congress was all ready to make Hemant Soren the chief minister of the state on the condition that he support the party’s Rajya Sabha candidate in lieu of the chief minister post. But Soren didn’t quite like this move from the Congress and he knows that currently, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and BJP Assembly members have an equal number of seats – 19 – and didn’t think it was worth taking the risk. Also, going by the Congress’ past record, it can’t really be trusted.

Farooq Abdullah’s fuming

Posted on 01 April 2012 by admin

To celebrate Sachin Tendulkar’s 100th century, the new media mogul Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani hosted a big party at their home Antilla, where prominent personalities from the fields of politics, film, sports and corporate were invited. It included Central Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh, Farooq Abdullah, Prafful Patel and Rajeev Shukla. Mukesh invited Vilas Rao, Rajeev Shukla and state Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan to the stage but forgot to name Farooq Abdullah in the excitement of his speech. This irked our man so much that he left the party without having dinner.
