Shatru’s anger with his party is showing no signs of abating. In the recent days, not only has he changed his attitude but he has also made some necessary amendments in his conditions presented before the party high command. Shatru however is still adamant that his wife Poonam Sinha be brought by the party to the Rajya Sabha from Bihar and that he himself be made a member of the Parliamentary Board (His earlier demand was of being made a general secretary). Shatru also wants that he be made the chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Film Development Corporation and the chairman be accorded the status of a Cabinet Minister. And even on this brother Shatru does not miss a opportunity to praise Rahul Gandhi. Has he got a definite assurance from the Congress?

No matter how much BJP attacks CPI(M) alleging them the agent of China , the principal opposition party at Centre is now changing their thoughts regarding our neighboring country. Recently as the part of the massive learning process BJP ruled Karnataka’s Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa had recently visited China . He is too satisfied with this visit that he has decided to send 200 MLAs to visit the country. Chief Minister already sent around 600 farmers to study the agrarian model of China too.

The honourable president of BJP had given Vasundhara Raje Scindia the deadline of September 4 that she should by then resign from her post. Vasundhara had then asked for time till September 9 because she was `officially’ suffering from viral fever then. Now it is raining heavily in Delhi and nearby areas and in rains the viral is known to spread. So is Vasundhara’s reluctance proving heavier than Rajnath’s order? Or is the respectable Rajnath proving to be the Bahadurshah Zafar of BJP.

But then there is Modi who after taking on the party now finds himself isolated. Neither is the Sangh with him, nor the party nor the bureaucracy. Several senior leaders of BJP believe that the time has come to sing the farewell song of the Modi era. And Advani too is also going to bother about Modi till such time that his dearest daughter Pratibha does not get into Parliament, that too from Gujarat.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan has made public his reluctance to be the next president of BJP. Shivraj has clearly told Soni, his favourite nominee in the Sangh – `I have only recently become a Chief Minister. Please do not kill me like a foetus. I and my dearest Laxmi are very happy, so if you have to make a president, give the post to a senior leader.’ What style has Shivraj got.

What hell did not break lose in BJP over the 240 organisation secretaries who are in the party as emissaries of the Sangh but the latter did not budge an inch from its stance. Sangh has made it clear to the BJP high command that all its organisation secretaries who are as its representatives unnecessarily throwing their weight around in the saffron party would remain and they would continue to keep a close eye on the day to day activities of the party. So the problems of the Chief Ministers of the BJP-ruled States would remain intact and in the affiliated States they would continue to skim the milk and walk away with the cream by controlling the transfers and postings. What is this message of political accountability and integrity that Nagpur wants to send out?

With times Lalu Prasad has also changed. Now humility has taken the place of arrogance in him. Lalu who once used to wait for the others to make the initial moves, now himself asks others about their well being. Ever since he has lost his office in Parliament, he also appears a bit remorse-stricken in the House. Even AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa looks forlorn. Because in these elections, even from her party only seven MPs got elected to Parliament. Therefore while once their members used to be chairmen of two permanent House committees – Science and Technology, and Forests and Environment – now Jayalalithaa’s party also has little left to do. In such times, BSP supremo Mayawati is making hay. Recently, on the basis of the party’s representation in Rajya Sabha, the party got the chairmanship of the permanent committee of the Industries Ministry. The elephant is no wonder having a field day.

It was Arun Jaitley who began the slug fest. Amid the discussions, he told the party president – `Rajnathji, you are okay, but the leakage is in your roof, your media secretary Sudhanshu Trivedi leaks reports in the media, he gets stories planted. This is the biggest reason for the downfall of the party. You have give a lot of freedom to your cronies.’ This stunned Rajnath, and gaining composure he said – `I do not have any knowledge about this. I will constitute a private inquiry on this.’ Jaitly said – `No, inquiry would not do, you throw him out.’ Jaitley kept talking at his own pitch … the words were sharp like a weapon .. and the emotions blunt like a saint who had given up his all.

There was a time when Ahmed Patel used to hold the fort in Congress against Mulayam Singh and Amar Singh. Mulayam’s opponents would be funded properly. People who contested cases against them were helped financially and physically. Now these reins are controlled by Kapil Sibal. Is Amar’s new supporter Rajesh Dikshit keen on writing a new chapter in Ahmed-Amar friendship. For when he himself has to meet Ahmed on Saturday, he sends SMS to his near and dear ones on Friday to ask if any agenda of theirs is to be taken up with Ahmed. Is Ahmed so flexible?
