Companies that have to bear the 2G brunt

Posted on 07 February 2012 by admin

Supreme Court’s Justice Ganguly, who gave such a historical verdict about the 2G issue has retired and someone else has to be elected for the post. But after the verdict, telecom companies are in a state of shock. Sources reveal that these telecom companies have decided that now that Justice Ganguly has retired, they will file a review petition in the 2G issue. The companies believe that it was the government policies that were at fault and this caused the companies all the problems. These companies also believe that if they pay the fine imposed by the court, it will have an impact on the criminal proceedings of the case. So all companies involved in the 2G issue are, for now, focusing on drafting the review petition.

The Congress wants President’s rule

Posted on 07 February 2012 by admin

It may be seen on the surface that this time during the UP elections, under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, Congress will emerge in the “kingmaker’s” role. The Congress believes that Rahul has put so much into these elections that the Congress can touch up to 60 seats in the UP elections. But a veteran leader from the Rahul coterie has to say that they will not let the Mulayam government form so easy. The Congress leader says that considering the President elections, if the Congress wants to bring its own president, it will have to gain support from both the BSP and the SP. So, if a condition of a hung Assembly arises in the state, the Congress wants the President’s rule for a while, because a new President will be elected. Then the party can decide who it wants to support in forming the government – the SP or the BSP.

Why did Khare have to go?

Posted on 07 February 2012 by admin

Now there is enough light on why Harish Khare was ousted from the PMO. According to reliable sources, the IB had got hold of a mail of Khare’s whose language, thinking and intentions went against 10, Janpath. This mail is considered to be an important angle of the starting of 10, Racecourse and 7, Janpath face-off. It is worth mentioning here that this mail was sent to several editors and prominent journalists of English media when he was the media advisor to the prime minister. Obviously, when Sonia came to know about it, she felt really bad about it and the PM had no other option but to have Khare go.

Somnath’s Bengali connection

Posted on 07 February 2012 by admin

Forgotten in the new political equations, what was the charismatic Communist leader Somanth Chatterjee doing in Delhi for the past six weeks? Sources reveal that on the invitation of Home Minister P Chidambaram, he was in Delhi to offer legal advice. Badly tangled in the 2G scam, Chidambaram had too many hopes from legal prowess and on his association with Somnath, who was once a barrister. But he couldn’t offer too much help to Chidambaram on the 2G issue. But the sentence from the judgement that says “Chidambaram had no talks with Raja about this” will help him a lot. This will provide him help in the legal proceedings in the future.

Advocating corporate working in saffron party, Nitin Gadkari’s political management is unparalleled. Gadkari’s close aide and human computer Arun Narendranath is keeping a tab on each and every seat of UP. Team Narendranath is also doing a secretive survey about the seats where it can sense a BJP fight and for seats where he can sense its party contestants have a good chance of winning, calls are being made to the contestants that they should organise a Gadkari meeting at their place, where the expenses will be paid for. A BJP contestant clarified he was offered a sum of Rs five lakh for such a meeting. If even Rs two lakh is spend in such a meeting, the contestants still stand to gain a profit of Rs three lakh. So now Gadkari demand is gradually growing in UP.

We sure aren’t soothsayers, but we can well predict the footsteps down the political corridors. In this very column on December 18, under “Congress’ Operation Maya”, we had written how the Congress stick was about to fall on Ponty Chaddha, close to Maya. We were sure it would happen we observed how places associated with Ponty Chaddha were facing CBI raids one after the other. We had also revealed that getting industrialists close to Maya face tough times was the idea of none other than Congress prince Rahul Gandhi, whose kitchen cabinet’s prominent member Bhanwar Jitendra Singh is controlling the entire operations. A case has been registered against Ponty Chaddha and Jaypee Group under Competition Act (Section 4) and instructions have been given to start investigation has the director level. Is the Jaypee Group next?
