Behura to turn approver?

Posted on 26 July 2011 by admin

Barring the Raja and the Rani (Kanhimozhi), all those in Tihar jail in connection with the 2G scam secretly wishes that the CBI make him approver. What with Tihar’s claustrophobic walls, mugginess, heat, the life in prison, imprisoned breaths, the hassle of being present in courts every other day, the business lobby is obsessed over turning approver. But the CBI wanted to be sure about it before choosing someone. It didn’t trust the business lobby and was eyeing the telecom officials for the same. Which means that for now, it could be Behura or Chadolia but it seems that Behura is more liked by the CBI presently.

Hillary held her own

Posted on 26 July 2011 by admin

This time when the American Foreign Minister Hillary Clinton came to India, apart from three UPA ministers and Sonia Gandhi, she also met Opposition leader Sushma Swaraj and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. The message is clear – America is considering alternate political possibilities other than the UPA. Hillary gave her speech not in Delhi but in Chennai. She said that this region had two super powers – Russia and China and India is also rising as one. This is the reason the US supports trade relations with India and wants that India should take its trade from the east (Singapore, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Malaysia, Bangladesh) to central Asia. Hillary called upon the farmers and said that instead of the east, they should now sell their produce to Kazakhstan. Kudos to the American thinking – two birds with one stone.

Congress Bureau of Investigation

Posted on 26 July 2011 by admin

The moot question is why the heat of CBI interrogations is felt only by the Opposition leaders. Why doesn’t the same go to the Congress leaders? For instance, for the Hawala, it was Advani, Khurana, Yashwant Sinha, Sharad Yadav and so on, while disproportionate assets cases involved Mayavati, Mulayam, Lalu, Prakash Singh Badal, Chautala, Jayalalithaa and CPM’s Pinnarai. Until the time Jagmohan Reddy was in the Congress, he got away with anything, but the moment he left the Congress and formed his own party, he came under the CBI suspicion.

Raids on junior Gadkari

Posted on 26 July 2011 by admin

The IT raids on Nitin Gadkari’s son Nikhil Gadkari’s company are only a hint. Before going to London, Gadkari had directly attacked the Congress President Sonia Gandhi. In the interview Gadkari had gone to the extent of saying that the government has remained silent on the matter of black money because several big leaders from the party have their money in foreign banks, and which includes Sonia Gandhi. So this raid was in reply to Gadkari’s attack.

Indersh’s relief

Posted on 26 July 2011 by admin

The NIA chargesheet doesn’t mention RSS’ prominent leader Indresh Kumar’s name. The government has made it clear that it doesn’t want to chargesheet Indresh on its own. If the court itself summons him on the basis of witnesses, it is another matter. The government doesn’t want to give weightage to the same without a reason.

Fai’s India connection

Posted on 26 July 2011 by admin

The moment Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai’s ISI relations came to light in the US, the ruckus about the same kicked off in India. The trustworthiness of the three-member panel, which is headed by a former editor of a newspaper, who is also considered to be close to the prime minister, is being questioned. It is worth mentioning that it is this panel that has been constantly advising the prime minister that the situation before 1953 should be brought back in Jammu and Kashmir. This thing has also come out in the open that the members of this panel have gone to the US several times at Fai’s expense. So now all that they have been saying is being looking into by our investigation agencies. What is the reality of these unnamed faces? How do they sell themselves so easily? And the US anyways knew about Fai for some time now, and the reason the issue has been brought to light now is also obvious.

Vishwanath’s god

While on one hand there is something cooking between Mulayam Singh and the Congress, and Rahul baba himself is taking the soft approach towards Mulayam, some Congress ministers are sponsoring those against Mulayam. Lawyer Vishwanath Chaturvedi, who filed a PIL against Mulayam regarding disproportionate assets, and currently lives in Rajendra Nagar in Delhi has had his kids admitted to the Army School. The guardian of the children in Delhi is Kapil Sibal, who is already taking care of double responsibilities at the Centre.

The builder’s bulldozer

Posted on 26 July 2011 by admin

The PIL in the court regarding the land in Greater Noida has the builder group apart from the Congress involved. The group is said to be close to the chief minister. The court’s bulldozer on the builders just before the UP elections seems to have created havoc in the political echelons. One lakh flats have been canceled after the court’s orders and more than 5,000 hectares land has been freed. The farmers are ecstatic and are telling the builders to buy land from them but the real estate prices are soaring sky-high and the builders’ coffers are empty. What can the poor builder do, how do they buy the land and return money to the investors?
