VANISHING RED |
October 05 2009 |
Mamta Banerjee takes objection in anything which is related to ‘red’. Perhaps she doesn’t like to use the word ‘red’ letter day. Recently when she flagged off the much awaited Duronto train from Kolkata, one very senior railway officer said it’s a red letter day for the railways. Immediately after this utterance he realized what mistake he had made. Correcting himself he said it should be ‘green’ letter day. The green colour symbolizes the colour of party symbol of the Railway Minister. Mamta often uses this colour for the govt advertisement. Even the new train also contain green colour. Someone jokingly remarked that if she comes to power in West Bengal , she will definitely vanish the colour ‘red’ wherever it is used. No wonder if Saturday and Sunday in the calendars is asked to painted green. |
