Narendra Modi’s claim to make a “Bhashtrachaar mukt Bharat” (a corruption-free India) is proving to be hollow. His claim of “Na khaayengey na khaaney dengey” (Won’t take bribes, and won’t let others, too), isn’t ringing true either. A few days ago, tenders for seven mines were released in Jharkhand. Sources reveal that insider deals have taken place and the rate of mines has gone up to Rs 35 crore from Rs 15-20 crore. Those who had to warm their hands have done it already; those who burnt the fire of change have got nothing but ashes.
