Sensing the changing times, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Supremo Hemant Soren has started increasing closeness with the BJP. He is constantly afraid that the BJP can change the game in Jharkhand whenever it wants because the 10 Congress MLAs in his government are arguably in touch with the BJP and it is suspected that they can change color at any time. This is the reason that when Hemant came to Delhi last time, he met Rahul Gandhi as well as Amit Shah. Recently, when Hemant joined Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari through video conferencing, Gadkari opened his heart to Hemant and Jharkhand. Gadkari told Soren that if they can get the land acquisition and approval of the Ministry of Forest and Environment done and provide good officers, “we will make the roads of Jharkhand like West Europe and America in three years”. Gadkari also said that ” The central government is ready to give five thousand crore rupees to the road construction department of the state. ‘Gadkari’s approach has hidden far-reaching effects, which is an announcement that if Hemant Soren comes under BJP’s shelter, so he can remain the Chief Minister. The BJP is also said to be eager to play the same game in non-BJP states like Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
