Varun’s hopes

April 26 2015

Gandhi family’s saffron party representative Varun Gandhi has emerged in a new philosophical avatar. The Modi-era party might not have defined a role for him, but this former general secretary of the BJP and a Member of Parliament from Sultanpur can be seen penning thought-provoking articles for several newspapers and magazines. He has written articles on railway reforms, smart city, health administration, education policy and the plight of farmers. His collection of poems titled Stillness is also ready to hit the stores on April 29. The book has been printed by Harper Collins and Varun has dedicated the book in the memory of his maternal grandmother Mrs Amteshwar Anand. In the poem titled “Hope” of the collection, Varun writes:
“Your voice makes me forget the past
Looking at my reflection
Sometimes I think the journey lies within
but all I really do is wait for the gifts of time”

Don’t the above lines reflect Varun’s current political situation?
