Two new vigilance commissioners |
August 15 2010 |
India will soon get two new vigilance commissioners. R Srikumar from the 1973 batch of Karnataka cadre may be the first one to be appointed. He has been with the CBI for 10 years, where he headed the “Fraud Detection Wing”. It is worth mentioning that he was also the IO for the Rajiv Gandhi assassination. The second name is of Jagmohan Garg, CMD, Corporation Bank. He is believed to be close to Pranab Mukherjee and his name has been floated by Pranab himself. These two appointments have indicated to the fact that the new CVC chief will be from batches senior than 1973. |
