Close confidante to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Archana Dalmia, had strengthened the way to the Rajya Sabha through Telengana Rashtra Samiti’s Chandra Shekhar Rao’s daughter. Archana’s brother-in-law Amitabh Adhaar, who is also a SP’s treasurer, had got assurance from TRS chief for his own Rajya Sabha seat. But they have missed their chances at the last moment.
