With the forthcoming West Bengal elections in mind, Trinamool Congress has conducted a confidential survey in the state and since the results have been out, Mamata Banerjee is on cloud nine. In south Bengal alone, 160 of the 190 seats may come to her – at least that’s what the survey has showed.

How will the budget be?

Posted on 08 February 2011 by admin

The markets are working up the budget expectations. Political experts believe that if it is a populist budget, general elections may even be held this year. But if it is a stern one, the elections are bound to happen at the due time. Sources say that the budget will address the common man who is crying under the pressure of inflation. Personal income tax limit may be increased up to Rs two lakh but there will be no change in the slab.

Raja is behind bars under the 2G scam, but others may be seeing the same fate soon. That is no good news for Niira Radia and her team, because it could be her next. Sources reveal that only Reliance and Tata are out of the interrogation. Swan Telecom and Unitech are likely to feel the heat, too.

And in the end

Posted on 02 February 2011 by admin

Looks like the Naga conference has gone all awry. Since the NSCN (IM’s) Anthony Simrai has been arrested at the Kathmandu Airport, Indian secret services have got a lot of confidential information out of him. India is surprised how on the one hand, NSCN talks about peace initiatives, and on the other hand, it has also invited China’s ambassador there. Business worth two billion dollars was conducted between the two and India suspects that with this money, the organization has bought AK 97 from China. Why such a deal hoodwinked by peace? Anthony needs to be interrogated more.

Hero computer

Posted on 02 February 2011 by admin

The income tax officials took the help of a supercomputer to conduct raids on two prominent Bollywood actresses. The specialty about the computer is that it clones all the data and records. Even if the information is on the person’s laptop or computer in the most encrypted codes, the investigative agency can decode it. The department had first used it during the IPL scam, when Lalit Modi’s house was raided. Clad in yellow, this supercomputer is referred to as “hero” by the department.

Rekha Gupta of the BJP from Keshavpuram has also been the student union leader from Delhi University. She got several large hoarding put up in her area, which showed her with BJP leader Vijendra Gupta. When the BJP national women leader Smriti Irani was passing by the area, she saw the billboard and instantly called Rekha and asked the reason for ignoring her own party’s national women leader. She also deftly let it slip that it will have to be Vijendra Gupta who gets her the party ticket in the next elections. Rekha got the drift and the very next day the hoardings of Vijendra Gupta were replaced by a smiling Smriti’s pictures.

Will Nair be fired?

Posted on 17 January 2011 by admin

Since the current CAG Vinod Rai’s body language against the governing party have changed unfavourably, the Congress is wondering who was responsible for his appointment. Nair has been taking a different line of view from the Congress and even pros such as Manish Tiwari and Kapil Sibbal are breaking into a sweat trying to defend the government. Now it is known that the current CAG of the country is the choice of the PM’s chief secretary, Kutty Nair. But why does he like Rai? Reliable sources reveal that Nair openly supports only those who are either Malyalis or from the Kerala or Punjab cadre, since he himself is from the Punjab cadre. The Congress also wonders who Nair and Manmohan Singh get along so well that he has been the PM’s secretary for seven long years. Even Indira Gandhi changed her chief secretaries every five years.

Joshi’s josh

Posted on 10 January 2011 by admin

Ever since Dr Joshi has become the chairman of the PAC, he gets carried away in excitement. The Sangh has given him a dressing down on the matter and has warned him that he should go a little slow with the PAC investigating the 2G scam. This should be done so that the party can increase its decibel on the JPC demand. Since then Joshi ji is a little cold towards the entire 2G scam.

Pranab Mukerjee’s son Abhijit Mukherjee is all set for his political innings and is running for elections from Lavpur constituency in Birbhum district of West Bengal. Mamta Banerjee is being extra nice to the son and has announced that the party is ready to give a ticket to Abhijit and he can contest the elections under Trinamool from anywhere in the state.
