Swamy’s America connection

Posted on 11 October 2011 by admin

What is it about Subramaniam Swamy that whenever the prime minister meets him, there is nothing but warmth from his side and seems to enjoy talking to him? Although Swamy has Sonia Gandhi and her family on target, the PM is unaware of any of it. For the October 2 programme, Swamy actually sat on the front row – it was the PM, then Sonia Gandhi, then Professor Ramgopal Yadav and then Swamy sitting next to each other. There’s one thing for sure, which binds both Subramaniam and Manmohan together – the America connection.

Change of guard in Haryana

Posted on 11 October 2011 by admin

Sonia is worried with the BJP’s increasing graph growth in Haryana. The Hissar by-elections may well be an obituary of Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s political innings – serious complaints about corruption are dogging the chief minister. There is also news from the inner circles to tell him to leave the post. As of now, Shailaja is said to be ahead in the race for the state’s top post – she is young, is a Dalit, is educated. What is standing in the way of giving Hooda the marching orders is the strong friendship Hooda’s son Deependra Hooda shares with Robert Vadera. It is said that jointly, the both of them are running several successful real estate businesses. The Opposition parties have brought the issue to light several times before. But Sonia feels there is a limit to everything and so priority should be given to the party rather than individual profits. So the Congress may take some big decision about Haryana in the days to come.

Why Mamta won’t agree

Posted on 11 October 2011 by admin

Mamta didi just won’t stop being upset with the Congress, especially with Pranab da, with whom she once had a good relationship, but it seems to have gone sour now. Mamta is angry with the Central government about why her party has been handed the income tax notice. Why is the ED asking for information relating to the party’s income? Mamta had already clarified to Pranab that this time her party had won the elections in West Bengal on the basis of ma, mati and manush. In such a scenario, is the Central government trying to mar Trinamul Congress’ image with an income tax baton? Mamta is especially miffed with Pranab that she has got an income tax notice when Pranab is the finance minister. That is “Lut ta raha chaman bag baan, kaise maan loon tera ishara na tha.” Maybe that is the reason why nowadays, the Central government is getting all of Mamta’s messages through Jairam Ramesh.

Pranab complained about the PM to Sonia

Posted on 11 October 2011 by admin

Before he left for Kolkata for Durga Pooja, Pranab da and Sonia had a crucial meeting. It is believed that Pranab da became overtly emotional during the meeting and got carried away with his emotions. He opened up his heart and mind to Sonia said that he feels that the PMO is targeting him for the past few days. Dada also took on the prime minister’s former chief secretary TKA Nair (who, now as a state minister, is the PM’s advisor), and said that the so-called 2G letter was a mere note that the PMO leaked only so that he and Chidambaram get into a tussle. According to Dada, it was “Because Nair and Anil Ambani get along really well, because of which I was also made a target, even though I hadn’t sent the letter to the JPC. Now Pulak babu (Pulak Chatterjee) has come and come and he will make everything clear.” Sonia carefully listened to everything Dada had to say but didn’t give him an assurance about the same.

The tug of war between Ajit and Congress

Posted on 02 October 2011 by admin

The seat sharing tussle is still on between Ajit Singh and the Congress. Ajit camp is of the view that the Congress is giving less than what is due to them, while the Congress is saying that Ajit is asking for not only seats but the expenses therein.

No place for Pranab

Posted on 02 October 2011 by admin

When Pranab Mukherjee suddenly reached New York on being summoned by the prime minister, it was midnight when he reached the city. The prime minister was staying at New York’s Palace Hotel with his entire entourage. The entire two floors of the hotel were booked for the PM and his team. Because Pranab needed a suite to stay, no arrangements at the Palace Hotel could be made for the same. So Pranab’s car moved to Park Central Hotel where the press team accompanying the PM was staying. But when no suite could be arranged for dada even there, Foreign Ministry’s Joint Secretary Vishnu Prakash vacated his own suite for dada, who finally got a place to spend the night. Because Vishnu Prakash’s work was to take care of the press people accompanying the PM, he shifted to an ordinary room in the hotel.

Priyanka will break the silence

Posted on 02 October 2011 by admin

If this is the lull before the storm in Congress politics, this lull may soon be broken. The news that is being given from the inner circles is that Priyanka Gandhi may start her political innings soon. The only glitch being how certain BJP leaders, and a certain Subramaniam Swamy is going hammer and tongs after her husband Robert Vadera and has collected several documents against him. Together they are sifting them and are sharpening their political weapons. This could prove to be the biggest challenge for Priyanka but it is a question what she considers her real big challenge.

Narendra bhai’s wife

Posted on 02 October 2011 by admin

Narendra Modi is upset with a section of the media trailing his wife Jasoda Ben Chimanlal Modi. Allegedly, Modi left his wife right after marriage and sent her back to her father’s place saying, “You need to study more.” He never turned to look back at her ever since, who got her education and became a teacher. She is currently teaching in a small Muslim village in Baaskantha district in Gujarat. She stays there and earns her living from teaching. Modi has neither refuted the claim that Jasodaben is his wife and neither has he accepted it. But he isn’t taking kindly to the media’s habit of relentlessly trailing Jasodaben. He also knows that it won’t be an easy task getting anything negative out from Jasodaben about him.

Modi turned down the president’s post

Posted on 02 October 2011 by admin

Narendra Modi has turned down the Sangh’s suggestion that Modi should be the party president for the next elections because Gadkari’s tenure ends December 2012. So to give a new momentum to the party, the Sangh Parivar wants that Modi should be at the helm of things. Sources reveal that Modi turned down the offer saying that he has a lot of Constitutional rights being the CM because of which the Congress can’t do anything to harm him try as it may, and if he resigned from the position, the Congress wouldn’t let him breathe, and the everyday routine of courts and cases would start. Thus, Modi made it clear to the Sangh that if it did want to do something for Modi, it should try to make him the PM while he is the CM. The Sangh has agreed and maybe that is why Gadkari may get another term as the party president.
