Deora’s dilemma |
November 21 2010 |
Petroleum Minister Murli Deora is a tad upset with Pranab da nowadays. Deora is trying to find as many ways to raise money for his navratna companies, wants to come out with a big IPO for Indian Oil. He had set the target for the same for October but Pranabda didn’t let it happen. He clearly told Deora that the IPO calendar is full. The government already has so many applications for the sanction of IPOs that Deora’s number can’t come before January. Pranabda’s second argument was that since the IPO size was so big, the environment in the country for such as IPO was nor favourable. Deora will have to wait. |
