It should be remembered that it was in this column that it was first discussed that how four senior officers of India’s biggest intelligence agency RAW had proceeded on leave last June to register their protest against the promotion to other officers. They had kept extending their leave. Of these four officers, one officer, Arney, who hails from Karnataka, has since returned to work. But the protest leave of the three other officers is still continuing. Of these three, two officers – C.K. Sinha and Sharad Kumar – have sent a communication to RAW chief B.K. Verma that if he would even make a phone call then they too would return to work. But till now neither has the RAW chief
called them up and nor has he sent them a message. Now what is troubling them is the fear of the unknown.
