New Rahulism

September 18 2018

Rahul Gandhi has emerged as the new adventurer in his ideological transformation. After his return from Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage, he has infused the party with soft Hindutva ideals. This has injected some fresh hopes amongst upper caste Hindus. Rahul is hell bent on making the BJP lick the dust and go to any extent for that. He is tying up with smaller parties in whichever state possible. This is the scenario in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and now in Madhya Pradesh as well. In the last elections, out of the 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh, BJP had bagged 165. The Congress had managed 58 seats and the BSP four. Besides, the BSP came second in 12 seats and third in 69. Rahul is stressing for a per-poll alliance with BSP in the state. Apart from this, the Samajwadi Party and the Gondwana Party had won three seats each last time. Rahul is in talks with these parties as well, trying to hammer out a grand alliance under the leadership of the Congress.
