Congress-AAP-Delhi & Maken’s Big Question

March 13 2019

The alliance doors were closed on AAP in Delhi by Sheila Dikshit, and not Rahul Gandhi. Perhaps that is why Arvind Kejriwal is still hopeful. The entire Congress-AAP alliance story was first scripted by Ajay Maken when he was the president of Delhi Congress. Right before Sheila Dikshit was handed-over his spot, Maken had conducted a public opinion poll on all seven Lok Sabha seats of Delhi, the results of which were quite depressing for the Congress.
The results suggested a 100% victory for Congress-AAP alliance, otherwise an abysmal output for both the parties as individuals. Simultaneously, AAP’s survey was telling the same tale.
As per the sources when Maken reached Rahul with the survey report, Sheila Dikshit was also present there. Sheila openly opposed any kind of alliance between Congress and AAP. This lead to such an intense argument between Maken and Sheila that Rahul had to intervene.
Cuckoos coo that in the heat of the moment Maken questioned Sheila that if the Congress is so well placed in Delhi then why is she fielding her son Sandeep Dikshit from Bhopal?
