Is the honeymoon of BJP and Eknath Shinde about to end in Maharashtra? If sources related to the BJP are to be believed, the BJP top brass has just conducted a comprehensive opinion poll in Maharashtra, the results of which have forced the BJP to think again about Shinde. The Shinde faction has 42 MLAs of its own and continues to be the chief minister of the state with the support of the BJP. But the latest opinion poll of the BJP says that ‘if elections were held in the state today, 30 of Shinde’s 42 MLAs would lose outright. The remaining 12 MLAs will also have to work hard for their victory.’ Anyway, the sword of disqualification is hanging in the Supreme Court on 16 MLAs of Shinde faction, Shinde himself is also included in these 16. Whereas 30 MLAs of Shinde faction are on the radar of CBI, IT and ED, and are just following BJP and Shinde to save their lives.
