Akhilesh’s Touble: Family Politics

March 03 2019

The Mulayam family is these days busy competing in itself for the Lok Sabha seats. Mulayam has himself declared that he will contest from Mainpuri. Now Lalu Prasad Yadav’s youngest son-in-law is an MP from Mainpuri. So he has told Akhilesh if Mulayam is contesting from Mainpuri, then he will from Azamgarh.
After this, Akhilesh conducted a survey in Mainpuri and found Tej Pratap Yadav lagging behind BJP Azamgarh’s Ramakant Yadav. So Akhilesh decided to himself contest from Azamgarh as his wife Dimple Yadav is willing to re-contest from Kannauj this time.
On the other hand, the popularity of Ram Gopal Yadav’s son Akshay Yadav has seen a significant downfall. So Ram Gopal is seeking Sambhal seat for his son.
Mulayam Singh’s second daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav has already warned if no ticket is given to her, she will contest from uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav’s party. Shivpal is himself contesting from Firozabad, which is troublesome for SP.
In all the family politics, Akhilesh is left worried if the family will itself reserve the few seats given to SP in alliance, what will be made of the party cadre?
