JD(U) ‘Took’ Shahnawaz’s Seat

Posted on 30 March 2019 by admin

Ever since the Bhagalpur seat has fallen into the share of JD(U), BJP’s big-mouthed leader Shahnawaz Hussain is having a troubled time. Over the entire stretch of 5 years he worked for Bhagalpur. To ensure a ticket for himself from here, he even had banners and posters installed, thousands of caps with Modi on one side and Shahnawaz on the other were manufactured.
However, sources close to BJP reveal that the party high-command is convinced that Muslim contenders are losing the game for them. Take for example: in the previous elections the saffron party had fielded 7 Muslim candidates – 3 from Jammu and Kashmir, 2 from West Bengal, 1 from Lakshadweep and Bihar (Bhagalpur) each.
Similarly, in the bypolls Yunus Khan was fielded against Sachin Pilot but that too bombed.

Arora Goes Seshan’s Way

Posted on 30 March 2019 by admin

Seems like current Election Commissioner Sunil Arora is walking on the path of TN Seshan. It was heard on the grapevine that Arora had a quarrel with PK Misra of the PMO. Apparently Arora felt like Misra was dictating over him. And so he has now decided to make the government realise the power bestowed upon an EC. He is now much stringent with VVPATs. There are possibilities that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, more than half the seats will see VVPAT usage.

Gandhis’ Secret Mantra Of ‘Come-Back’

Posted on 30 March 2019 by admin

The BJP has placed its trump card Smriti Irani on Amethi with the intention to challenge Rahul Gandhi in his turf itself. The plan is to engage Rahul here in such a way that he cannot afford to shift his focus anywhere from Amethi. The master plan comes at a time when Mayawati too has declared to field her own candidate from Amethi.
In such a scenario, a few senior Congress leaders are suggesting that Rahul should contest from a Karnataka seat because the state has proven itself fruitful of the come-backs of Gandhi family over the years. Indira Gandhi made her come-back from Chikamagalur. When Sonia Gandhi trumped Bellary, it proved a major boost for the Congress.
However, Rahul is said to be against the idea of contesting from two seats as it is a waste of both money and time.

Mayawati’s Saffron Plans

Posted on 30 March 2019 by admin

Mayawati is distressed these days. Modi government’s policies are forcing her to change her political strategies. Her former secretary Netram is under the radar of investigative agencies. The Income Tax Department has attached assets worth over Rs 200 crore from him alone. The BSP supremo’s brother is also under the scanner of the ED which is only worsening the situation for Maya.
Probably this is why Mayawati took the major decision of no-alliance with Congress and that no seat-share will happen between the two parties. It is said when Mayawati told Akhilesh that there will be no seat-share with the Congress and that they will field their own contenders from Amethi and Raebareli as well, the SP chief requested her to give at leat 15 days time and that things will get better with time. But Maya dismissed his request.
As soon as Maya declared no-alliance with Congress, the party cadre immediately took it as an indirect message that post the LS election result, she may join hands with BJP. Anyhoo the BSP cadre has seen a rise in the popularity o Modi amongst them. They are of the view that at least in the Modi government whatever the upper castes have is now available to them as well – like electricity, toilets, etc.
Mayawati has displayed her political wit in the BSP-SP alliance by giving all the urban seats, which are BJP’s strongholds, to SP.

Scindia Eyes Guna

Posted on 30 March 2019 by admin

Congress’s Western UP in-charge Jyotiradita Scindia is too occupied with Madhya Pradesh that he is unable to focus on the seats going for polls in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. Scindia wants a Congress ticket from Gwalior for his wife Priyadarshini. This way the Scindia family will have a hold over both Gwalior and Guna which will also increase their popularity.
Last time, despite the Modi wave, Narendra Singh Tomar had registered victory from Gwalior with 29,000 votes. However, the obstacle in Scindia’s ambitions is that whenever Priyanka Gandhi holds a meet with the UP leaders, the venue for that is Scindia’s Delhi residence. So Scindia has to anyhow be present at these meetings.
The cold war between Scindia and Kamal Nath in Madhya Pradesh is an ongoing. In the last State Legislative Assembly polls while Kamal Nath did only 70 rallies, Scindia’s were 132. Even so, Kamal Nath was declared the CM of the state.
On the other hand, Amit Shah has also made it very clear that this time Guna, Chhindwara and Jhabua are must-wins for the party. Yogi government’s Energy and Transport minister Swatantra Dev Singh has been given the responsibility of Guna.

Shah-en-Shah Of Gandhinagar

Posted on 30 March 2019 by admin

The saffron party has gifted its ‘Chanakya’ to Gandhinagar. Amit Shah, who has proven his capabilities often, is renowned for well placing political strategies. However his candidature from Gandhinagar remained a suspense and topic of debate till the very last minute. So much so that the scheduled press conference of the BJP was delayed by 15 minutes.
Sources close to the saffron party reveal that the biggest claim over the Gandhinagar ticket was of former CM Anandiben Patel’s daughter Anar Patel. It is said she even had a ‘go ahead’ from PM Modi. That is why she was active in the constituency from past two years through her NGO.
Three observers were packed to Gandhinagar by the party high-command ahead of the ticket declaration. Two of the three observers had reported in favour of Anar while only one reported in Shah’s favour. Even maximum Gandhinagar MLAs were rooting for Anar.
However, at the end moment the Shah supporters played the trump card by saying that since Gandhinagar has had been veteran party leader LK Advani’s seat, so a national leader should contest from here. And this sealed the deal for Shah.
If the Modi government makes a comeback at the Centre, Rajnath Singh might have his share of troubles. Amit Shah might take over his Number 2 (Home Minister) spot. Anyway he had replaced Rajnath only to become the party president.

Ram Mandir: By Hook Or Crook!

Posted on 18 March 2019 by admin

The 3-member committee appointed by the Supreme Court for mediation in Ayodhya land dispute case has left the temple vein of the RSS throbbing. Neither the formula of the committee nor the inclusion of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in it is making sense to the Sangh. The cuckoos coo that the Sangh is of the view that Sri Sri used his international influence and connections to ensure his inclusion in the committee.
The Sangh is also convinced that such mediation attempts will only make empty promises for the construction of the Ram Mandir, no solid conclusion will be drawn.
RSS is well-aware that Modi wanted a Supreme Court decision on the matter, else it is his last option to initiate the formulation of a law in the Parliament over it.
However, if sources are to be believed, Ram Mandir construction preparations are already underway in Ayodhya. Proper numerical sequences are being painted on the stones to be used in the construction. The map is already ready. All in all, regardless what the nation’s majority says, RSS and its associates will only rest after the construction of Ram Mandir there.

The impact of social media in shaping opinions is out in the open. Its influence over ‘floating voters’ is no different. Stating the obvious, Social Media has become a crucial weapon for the 2019 Lok Sabha election-eyeing political parties of India.
The parties are on the look-out for social media influencers and amid all this, it has brought a boom for all the big-shot journalists. One Facebook/Instagram post or a tweet on Twitter in favour of a particular party is worth big bucks.
BJP is said to be sitting at the lead in this social media game-plan. Retweets too have good values. The journalists with followers-figure in lakhs are being paid accordingly per post/tweet. And cash is the most preferred mode of payment in the entire game.
The cuckoos coo that BJP’s social media cell alone has roped in over 5,000 of these “influencers”. Regional language journos are also a part of the game.
