2019: Big Money Game

June 18 2018

The BJP polls juggernaut is on the roll for the do-or-die 2019 general elections, and it is learnt that the party’s central leadership had plans to raise a huge volume of funds for that. The saffron party still leads all others by a long margin in raising political funding. The birds and bees say that the party’s central command has instructed all the state units to feel free to raise as much funds as possible, but there are nigglings. Three of the chief minister under the BJP-rued states have expressed serious concerns if the demand of the mandarins can be met at all, since they have immediate state assembly polls in their hands, and they have told the party high command of this. These three are Vasundhara Raje of Rajasthan; Shivraj Singh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh and Raman Singh of Chhattisgarh.
The bosses had had huge hopes for a bounty from Uttar Pradesh. But the state CM Yogi Adityanath, peeved with the party bosses, has also told them, the same birds and bees sing, that he has told New Delhi to ask their own men (read Keshav Prasad Maurya, Dinesh Sharma, Srikant Sharma, Siddharthnath Singh, et al) to raise funds as he himself is known not to be touching money. Is this why blankets worth Rs 1,000 are being at Rs 4,000 a piece at the Kumbh Mela in the mien of another Commonwealth Games scam?
